Quite likely, but maybe they will do a Persia and reveal a modern before Songhai.Considering it’s literally the last one left, I’d say that’s a safe guess!
And if they do, then one of Persia free unlocks needs to be Songhai by connection of being forgotten by the devs-

It's the same group/singer! Luana Haraguchi is mentioned both in the Civ 7 track description and as the leader of the Hālau Hula O Na Mele 'Āina O Hawai’i group from the other video.

It's fine for what it is, I just would've expected more than "let's get a Hawaiian dance number". That is something very performative, as can be seen, and just didn't translate well into a background soundtrack.

I was thinking something in the line of Lili'uokalani's 'Aloha Oe' would have been perfectly fine.
While I genuinely think it's wonderful and it makes a smile appear on my face, I have my worries that I will be very tired of the Hawaii theme if I spend over a thousand hours in this game like I spent with VI. I have the same sentiment towards the Khmer soundtrack. That being said, I think that so far the music is more like the soundtrack from V than VI, and the former aged a lot better for me, so I'm overall optimistic.

I'm glad we don't get layering music, I HATED most of the post-Industrial Age music in 6. so repetitive. 5 always has a special place. I do wonder if there'll be more ambient tracks per civ again though.
What a coincidence! I picked a video that had a good enough quality with similar sounding melody. Didn't think I'd pick the different performance from the same group

Have we had any song that fits the theme running during Trung Trac's vid?
I've gone through them a while back and couldn't find any. Though my original guess with it being the Early Modern battle theme also doesn't seem to work since we've had battle footage in the Early Modern stream and the music used for that was the civ's theme.

I hope there is also plenty of ambient music. The civ music is nice, but some extra tracks or generic music based on the age (as in Civ 4, although this was licensed music rather than original soundtrack) would be preferable to avoid repetition.

My current hypothesis is that it’s the Siam theme, for no other reason than the fact that it’s a civ she’s associated with and we haven’t gotten its soundtrack yet.
