I strongly recommend to start with Advanced start (same as in tfwbtbt) it will take as a year to develop few systems

I'm not even sure if that works with this mod. Besides, many players here aren't very experienced with this mod yet, and they could use the extra time getting accustomed to it.

Btw, how about no tech brokering?

Its a standard thing in PBEM -- no brokering!

Knoedel, for the next 13 turns we will be playing with 1 unit. It will take 30 turns before one colonizes second star system

Can I suggest we select "quick" setting.

You both are right. There is no advance start option and I am guessing no espionage either. And yes quick option is a good idea, to make this game more dynamic and intense.

There is Espionage, passive at least.

I think Normal is quick enough.

Did not see any building producing spy points. Palace does not give any points, no slider...
    What is wrong with quick?

Capitol does indeed not give Espionage Points, but there is the Security Agency building which provides one per turn and +100% Espionage. The Police State civic gives a faction wide boost of 20% to it and of course there is a slider too.

    It´s too fast.

Sooo... Any ideas on where to get the eighth player from?

Fast is good, with 8 players it will be VERY slow, 1 turn per week, at best! So fast is good.

I Just emailed Alvarez (the new guy from brazil) -- let's see if he is willing and able!

For the last time, eight players is not a lot, and it is not going to take forever. >.< Eight players is slightly above average, yes, but that's still less than half the number of players of my very first PBEM. I'm pretty sure we can manage 2-3 turns per week easily.
Btw, would you guys mind naming your time zone?

Alvarez? You sure you're not mixing up the game and the forums?

    Did he reply yet?

Nighthawk would love to join, but unfortunately he is way too busy as it is.

And Herc took the halis from me, I wanted them. I'll take the Avowers.

For the record, I have never played the original mod, and most likely won't before we start. I'll work on getting the new mod installed. I fully expect to be horrible in this one, so I will vassalize quickly with the right offer ;)

Aright now that we have every slot filled it is time for a last-minute checkup before I finally launch this game in twelve hours. If you have any objections, speak up now or forever hold your peace:

    Size: Large
    Era: Isolation
    Speed: Normal
    Star System Quantity: Normal
    Feature Density: Normal
    Hostile Features: Normal
    Label Wormholes: Labelling On
    Order of Wormholes: Random

    No Technology Brokering
    Permanent Alliances
    Require Complete Kills
    No Pirate Experience Cap
    Calculate Trade Route Paths
    Troop Transports
    Multiple Production
    Productive Pirate Systems
    Reduced Pirates

    All victories enabled

    Players:

    Tachywaxon - Random
    Hercules90 - Halis

Not sure about the turn order yet because something is fishy here: How can Eclipse and Tigranes both live in the same timezone when one is from Ohio and the other from Armenia?

Edit: Turn order will be as follows:

    Tigranes - Red Syndicate
    Eclipse4449 - Random
    Tachywaxon - Random
    Hercules90 - Halis
    gpcii - New Earth
    Nighthawk419 - Avowers
    kiwitt - Brotherhood

I am not from Armenia now, but was originally:) You confuse location with self-description ;)
