@Yakodi: I am not running any spelling police here. I couldn't care less if you spelled every single word in your posts wrong. Really. I grasp the meaning anyway. IIRC you put Inder there every time. I was just curious and now it is all clear ;)

The Celts are catching up. Go Celts!

I started that game with them, and I absolutely thrashed the ai; DG standard continents. It was the fist time I used them. I found the gallic swordsman to be OK. I eliminated 2 civs and part of a third and then they suddenly were a bit out of date. But still, I had a great middle age and I build all kinds of infastructure to go from total war mode to science leader. It's the agricultural trait that is the best.

Go Celts!

Hear hear! The agricultural trait is huge. I've found that the 2 food now taken from desert is great. This meas a desert can go both ways. You can mine it for 2 shields or irrigate for 2 food. I don't believe that the Gallic Swordsmen can retreat, though. That's a downside considering the Impi can (I think).

SPAIN! I just managed to accomplish a nice victory on the Napoleonic Wars Conquests with the Spanish :king:

I can't vote yet this month, since I'm playing a deity game as the Mongols, and surviving so far. I'd go for Mongols this month, but we'll see what happens as the month progresses...

Playing a Iroquois game in which I started near Ivory. Having an Ancient Cav run defense for a stack of Mounties is one of the most powerful things I've ever seen in this game. So Iroquois but they aint on the list.

I read the rewiev (Ision?) of the Celts and tried the propuosed strategy "Get Iron-Slow general research pace" and all I can say is :goodjob:
The speedy GS was the phantom menace of my pangea all the way til muskets and I also love the agri trait, but maybe that´s because I grew up on a farm
