UA: The Land of Ever-Winter
Cities may notgrow normally, but generate points towards
'Great Discoveries', which attract new
citizens and grant a huge amount of
science, by working snow tiles, natural wonders and constructing
science buildings. +2
citizens and +2
science in all cities upon expending a
Great Scientist.
UU: Research Station(Replaces Observatory)
The research station, unlike the observatory it replaces, does not require the city to be adjacent to a mountain tile - but does require a nearby snow tile instead. Although they only boostscience output by 25%, the first 3 research stations reveal unique natural wonders* upon being constructed and provide additional
Great Discovery points per turn.
UI: Prefab (Unlocked at Astronomy)
The Prefab may only be built on snow tiles, yields +2science and +2
production, doubled if adjacent to a natural wonder. Upon acquiring a
Great Discovery, all Prefabs in the empire grant a burst of
golden age points and
great scientist points.
*These Natural wonders are:
Aurora Australis: +8science, +4
culture, +25% generation of
Great Scientists in this city when worked
Martian Meteor: +10science, +2
culture, +25%
generation of Great Scientists in this city
Emperor Colony: +6science, +6
culture, +4
happiness.
They come in no particular order
Antarctica (Nobody)
UA: The Cold Spares Nobody -
Snow tiles that are being worked yield +1 Food and +1 Production. When one of your Military units has been stationed on snow tiles for more than 8 turns they die, however during the 6 turns they have -1 Movementand +40% Strength
.
UU: Snow Walker -
Replaces Spearman. Has +20% Strengthin snow tiles and has +1 Movement
when on those tiles.
UI: Igloo -
Can only be built on snow tiles and is unlocked at Biology. Provides +2 Scienceand +2 Production
.
both, designs are not a finite resource
Can anyone come up with a Civ for the mechanic of "Experience Land Units start with upon being produced counts towards Great Generals"?
Bit convoluted wording there, essentially it means that whenever you produce a land unit the experience it starts with counts towards Great General.

You know, I was never gonna make this civ for fear of angering JFD, but with a crazy UA like this I think I might have to.
The Manchu under Nurhaci

UU: Green Standard
Unlike the Musketman, which it replaces, the Green Standard is cheaper to construct in cities with a Courthouse. In addition, it has a chance of converting enemy units it defeats, which gain the same Banner as them.
UU: Niru
More expensive and physically weaker than the Crossbowman, which it replaces, the Niru ignores enemy zones of control. Additionally, it may attack twice per turn if stationed next to at least two units of the same banner.
