I kept it pretty much the same as Civ IV, but I did other for the Austro-Hungarian Empire, maybe they could replace HRE if you people hate BK so much.
Austria should be part of Germany and Hungary should be its own civ...

One starts to wonder why Spain wasn't in Civ 1.

Dunno.

ADD VANDAL CIV!!!!
The Vandals? One Germanic tribe? We already have tonnes of actually important Germanic peoples in the game (English, Germans, Germans of the Holy Roman Empire, Dutch, Norse), we don't need the bloody Vandals.

Necessary CIVs
England
Spain
France
Germany
Russia
Rome
Greece
Turkey (also Ottoman Empire)

Suggested CIVs
Portugal
Netherlands
Italy (as an alternative to Imperial and Papal Rome)
Sweden
Austria (representing Holy Roman part of Germanity as opposed to "Prussian" Germany)
Poland
Norse (representing mainly Norway and Denmark)
Celts

Optional CIVs
Hungary
Romania
Bulgaria
Ukraine (also Kievan Rus)
Lithuania
Scotland (make it separate from Celts, who become Ireland)
Serbia
Catalan Countries (as the Kingdom of Aragon)
Venice

Europe is incomplete without Italy. Technically Rome and Italy are two different Civilizations. We use Imperial Germany and Prussia for the Germans, why not Piedmont-Sardinia, Florence, or Imperial Italy (Circa 1860's, 1870's) for Italy.

We need the Celts changed to the Britons to be more historically accurate.
