Do I chose Direct IP or Internet? Either way, it seems to want me to initiate a game. I see no way to join an existing game.

Ill help you out !

first choose direct IP connexion
Type in your name (preferably the one you use on CFC)
in the section to the right type in the IP adress and the password (given to you secretly by IglooDude)
and press start.

Then its going to connect to host and all you need to do is to choose the Japanese empire and press start. I think it going to ask you to password protect it ... choose yourself a password and Voila!

Yeah, my mistake was that you don't use PitBoss to join games, only to create/host. So, I'm good.
