We gave scheduling one a couple shots early on, but 16 people across most time zones was too difficult - we decided that we needed to knock Azzaman out to make it doable, and from all reports he ain't getting voted off the island anytime soon.

Then the QC and LoaD should ban together in alliance against all Non-North American players!
Seriously, though, that might be something to consider when making the next game for Civ:Warlords.
At the least, I'd think 2 turns a day is reasonable to shoot for?

Well, more like something to aspire to, and if we hit 2 turns 75% of the time, that would be a marked improvement.
I can usually check about 3 times at day.

EDIT: I play my turns as soon as i can get to them, and 2 turns a day does seem reasonable, but there are 15 humans who can have other things pop up in the way, or something.

The LAoD would suddenly be in a 3-vs-2 civil war, in that case.
I've been cruising the multiplayer forum threads, 24-hr turns appears to be the best commonly accepted timing. When we started this game we were looking for more participation over faster gameplay, but maybe in a future (a Warlord future) game we can trim down and speed up.

Mayeb just turn down the clock to 19 hours instead of 24 could make it better.... For all those times when everybody's done under 10 hour and we have to wait an other 14 for Tycoon to play his turns
