And the more you make each civ step into character and play differently from any other civs available - the higher the replayability of the mod as a whole will be.
I know this is not supposed to turn into a "my most favorite and least favorite civ" thread, but I really have to take exception to this. The Bannor are one of my favorites to play. I like the "crusader" motifs and enjoy smashing other civs that have cities with evil religions.
The Hippus are a great example. We will probably delve deeper into their mercenary aspects, but by and large they are done as they are. Their mechanics aren't flashy, but they are effective. Some civs will follow that design.
Kael, any hints about which 4 civs are getting special treatment in Shadow? I'm assuming Malakim, Svartalfar, and Sidar. Who is the 4th?

How will the Balseraphs be changed? They already seem like they have enough unusual mechanics.
Yeah I feel that they are lacking some Cultural Ooomph... I hope they can be a bigger cultural threat in the future.
Sooo...the Illians are complete then?
With the end of Shadow comes Ice. The Illians get the spotlight then.
They have some cool UU's but no real design. "Shadow" should include a more dynamic culture system that we will need for the wilderness regions. We may have the Balseraphs take advantage of it too. I also love the functionality of the BtS improvements (building improvements outside of your borders, improvements that grant happiness bonuses, etc) for some Balseraphs mechanics.

The plan is to create wilderness areas, yes.I know AoI has a lot of wilderness, do you intend to implement that for regular FfH in shadow? If so, that would be pretty awesome, because I've always found the most fun part of the game to be the part before the map fills up with advanced civs.
