A culturally-distinct people once condemned to roam in perpetual exile, the Iagonese, as they now call themselves, joined the colonial expedition in the hope of establish a new homeland for themselves on Earth. Once they arrived, they named their new country Iagon, after "Japan", the name given by the original inhabitants.

Well . . . how about a subsect that left Alpha Centauri before the Eartlings arrived(if they even made it that far in their cobbled-together spacecraft:p) and has been roaming for a suitable home since. Maybe politically/religiously or something they are the antithesis of their society, I dunno. Have fun!

You know LH IS the GM here. Although i dont even know what a protoss is as i havent played starcraft, they sound cool to me. Omega technically this isnt starcraft anyway. Its not supposed to be.

Description: Upon their arrival on earth, this group of protoss heard stories about how the vikings had raided their neighbors and were the terror of an entire egion for centuries, and aspired to be like them. They worship the Progenitor due to their historic visit to the planet Haven, but they think he is the thirteenth god of the greek olympians, and they rule the universe together. The gods lead their armies and navies into battle during wartime.

Tech path: Orbital

Ideaology: aryaism (complicated system which is a mix of democracy and military dictatorship that balances each other)

Capital: Olympus, East Iceland

Religion: Hellenism + Progenitor

An extended bio for my Nation

Upon arrival at earth a group of protoss' discovered remnants of a great power. Rome, they wanted to be like them so they founded the New Roman Empire (NRE) and there leader renamed him self Caesar.

Vikings worshipping the OLYMPIANS? Come on, not only is that unrealistic, Norse Mythology is so much manlier, anyways.

These arent the historical vikings though. They are protoss, and they only aspire to be like the vikings in combat capabilities, and put fear into their enemies. The believe in the religion on ancient greece though. It doesnt have to be realistic. Please show the rule that says it ahs to be so. We can all customize our nations as long as they are protoss. I can make my country worship the greek gods if i want to.

Also we are interested in defensive pacts with any who want them.

LH will it be possible to add a trade route feature to encourage good diplomacy? Like for every trade route (trade a good of yours to another for one of theirs) to another country, we get +1 credit, but we can only have 1 trade route per 8 territories or something, and a max trade routes, maybe 10. This would encourage people not to go on killing sprees, and maybe even be more diplomatic, as if they are seen by the world as agressive people will be less likely to trade with them and their economy will suffer.
 
Hmmm . . . worked out a trade route thing. Every 10 territories you have you can set up a trade route with another nation - each of you gets an extra credit each turn. You can only trade with someone that you have a border with or if you and your target nation both have coastal provinces.

However, navies can now attack sea-based trade routes, so you would be wise to assign fleets to patrol them.

Could I get someone to expand for me/research for me? I would like to focus on land technology, and I would like to expand to all of brazil, then north to the Caribbean Sea.
 
iirc, it has a little more dictatorship then democracy.

Ilduce dont bring realpolitik over here. Also stop complaining about my term. Its long over. And for a third point, aryaism is not what was implented in RP. This is an entirely different system, not only because i had no control over the system in RP. Dont be so quick to comment on things you know nothing about, because this system is purely fantasy, and it has never been explained or done before.

Name: The Erisidean Order

Description: This Colony is made up of members of a Religion called the Erisidean Order, which gave the colony its name. The Order believes in an all-powerful but envious deity named Erised who controls everything in the universe. Above all, Erisideans hold the belief that they are superior and that eventually nonbelievers and believers will not be allowed to live in coexistance. Despite their grisly beliefs, the people of The Order are always steadfastly honorable and knightly, and they show no mercy to their enemies, especially those who betrayed them.

Tech Branch: Conventional

Government: Theocracy. A cabal of religious leaders run the bureocracy, and the country is run by an appointed hereditary Monarch outside of the priesthod, as decreed by Erised to balance the power between the priesthood and the people.

Other Info:

The Order follows only the creed dictated by Erised, and they have no concern for the planet or the extinct humans.

The Four Tenets of Erised

1. Erised is the one true deity.

2. Erised wills his subjects to be honorable.

3. Erised protects the weak through his followers.

4. Erised will bring life to those who believe in him.
 
Update #1 - YSP(Years Since Plantefall) 1:

No major developments have occurred in the colonization/terraforming so far. All nations except the Erisedian Order have four available claims. The Order has six as it failed to claim its starting eight.

Treasury dump has occurred like normal. everyone has $8 to spend except Erised, which has $6.
