Well.. Since you called me out, I'll reply.
I never "refused" to do anything, so I'm not sure where you got that idea from. It's simply not the only thing I want to do in Civ 5. Also, what's more important, CPP is almost like a new game, which means that it'll take a while before I'm familiar with everything that it adds or changes.
Just baiting for a reply

I still love you, man.
I don't plan uploading a game where I just fumble my way through something I don't know well enough, because I know that's definitely not what people want to see, at least in case of Civ 5 (in fact... you just said yourself in your other comment that you felt frustrated watching some others play it, because they didn't know it well enough - so you sort of answered your own question why I've not done it yet). I'll play it on the channel once I manage to invest enough time into it to feel comfortable enough playing on Deity.
I am still watching them, frustrated or not

, it is sorta that feeling you get when you see someone miss an ancient ruin, miss improving a resource or forget to lock a good food-tile.
While I can certainly see your point about it being a new game it is not amazingly different from normal civ and unlike civ5 deity it is a lot more forgiving, you're not going to lose the game just because you didn't catch up quickly enough. You're more likely to just get killed by a big timing-attack

. Also I don't think your viewers would hate or abandon you just because you lowered the difficulty by one step or lose a game. I mean you've lost games before ^^.
In fact I think some variety would help people stay focused and make a playthrough more memorable, I mean that's why you're doing these current mod-games, right?
Also I would love hearing your thoughts on some of the changes, especially the ones I was involved in. And you have a huge following, which basically revived Communitas for a few months with your LP even though that mod was basically abandonware at that point

. This is a my shameless way of saying we want your promotion

.
If you don't want to commit to a full LP without knowing the game, you could just start a run on twitch, without being committed to continuing it. Announce it ahead of time and you could probably get some forum-guy in the chat answering any questions or clearing up any confusions you might run into.
If you do, please don't run an island-map
