Community Patch - How To Install

luxury resources problem fixed I uploaded to .279 and reinstalled the patch again. Cleared cache and moduserdata folders before yes. I missunderstood the tourism concept sorry it is ok I think, playing a game right now with the patch and everything. One thing, I'm playing with the celts but the +1 faith in a city with forest tiles around isn't working. Any Idea of that?

No problem. Celts' UA has been changed in CBP - that's reflected in the leader selection screen, civilopedia etc., so it's no longer supposed to do what you described.

Does this mod change the warmonger penalty mechanic? Does it reduce it and make it less sensetive especially on larger maps?

if so which mod does change it because this a mod pack

Essentially, no matter what i do, i can't get rid of the tooltip problem with the EUI version. The problem being when i mouseover tooltips it has the assets/dlc/eui/ crap instead of the actual tooltip. Ive cleared the cache, reinstalled the game, deleted the LUA folder, done the correct installation numerous times. Im lost here.

Is EUI in the DLC folder of your civ install?

G

yeah, i mean, i used the all in one install file that includes eu, i even tried downloading the different version from github and putting that in there, which ended up corrupting some files. i just reinstalled civ 5 and its a vanilla copy, i guess ill try again.

I really want the EUI, and dont wanna have to settle for using the non EUI version, i just literally cant see what the problem would be. I followed the instructions to a T.

If you used the auto-installer, you need to double-check that EUI (bc_1 folder) ended up here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC

If this is not where Civ is installed on your PC, find that same folder on your install drive and move bc_1 there.

Also, clear cache.

Yeah, i cleared cache multiple times, and thats where it ended up.

But is that your civilization install? If so, update your civ, make sure you are enabling mods and hitting next, etc. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you other than you may need to post in the EUI thread.

I believe the warmonger score is primarily a CP's concern, but don't take my word for it.

Yeah, i cleared cache multiple times, and thats where it ended up.

By talking about following the installation instructions, I assume you mean these? They should have pretty much everything covered.

Your issue really sounds like EUI ended up in a wrong place. You might tripple check that it's in your steam root directory (might not necessarily be C:\). You can get there by going into the Steam library, right-clicking civ, clicking 'Properties', clicking 'Local Content' (if I'm not mistaken about the name), then clicking 'Browse Local Content'.

By the way, have you tried clearing ModUserData?

I'm very sorry if this is a repeat post but with 70 pages, a search function and google I still haven't been able to find an answer.

I love this mod, but it seems no matter what map I want to play on, every single one of them now has a million-and-a-half rivers. Rivers are nice, but I spawn amongst so many of them that my units are hamstrung for movement and the map itself looks ridiculous.

I'm assuming the whole mod pack is volatile as well, I can handle the random crashes on loading, (cost of doing business) but this rivers thing is driving me bonkers.

Check out the River Spaghetti thread (It got pushed down to page 2 on the forum).

EDIT: I could have sworn G said that it was fixed recently, but in rereading that thread I couldn't find any mention of it. He must have posted it in another thread (New Beta Version - December 10th (12/10), Community Patch - How to install, Bug Reports - Post Here!, etc.)

The lua.log file is useful to rule out any mod conflict (you might as well post your mod list, by the way). It can be found in your root civ directory (I believe it was Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V). But before you do that you'll need to enable logging - here's a simple guide on how to do it: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=487482 After you do that, reproduce the crash and then post your lua.log.

CvMiniDump.dmp can also be found in your civ root directory. Use the search function if needed to find it and post here. But anyway, it might be a better idea if you provided your mod list first.
