Community Patch - How To Install

I followed your steps EXACTLY one for one. The mods seem to work perfectly except for the EUI mod. Every time I use it my research tree disappears and none of it actually gets showcased instead of showcasing culture or science. So I was wondering if there is some extra steps for the EUI or if I am simply doing something wrong. The other mods work perfectly though.

EUI should go into [game folder](not the one where you install mods)/assets/DLC.
Installer makes it double confusing if the path is right or wrong.

That's a thing you can configure by yourself. If you are ingame, just hit escape and go to options an then interface. There is an option to alter exactly what you are saying. So it's not a bug it's a feature of EUI. Cheers!

One time the installers name is CPP, one time EUI. I don't think that there should occur any confusion. You only have to know where each one goes. Besides the installer of CPP is most time selecting the correct path to your documents folder ;-)

EDIT:
@dagurJay: I don't know what you will mean with this sentence here: " and none of it actually gets showcased instead of showcasing culture or science"

I'm having a problem. I've seen it described by one or two other people but as I follow the discussions there doesn't seem to be a solution presented anywhere.

I installed all of the mods using the automatic installer. Quick and simple. However, when I enter Civ V, go to the MODS screen, and go to activate each mod all of the mods except for the "More Luxuries (v. 155)" and "Community Patch (v. 66)" say in red letters "Mod is missing required dependencies". I'd love a clear solution to this problem if you wouldn't mind. I've not been able to find one.

Thank you

Please activate the mods in the following order:

  • Community Patch
  • Community Balance Patch
  • City State Diplo
  • Civ4 Diplo Features
  • CBP Compatibility Patch
  • More Luxuries

This should solve your problem. :)

New version (10/1) uploaded. Files affected:

  • CP
  • CBP
  • CSD
  • EUI
  • EUI-CBP Compatibility
  • NoEUI-CBP Compatibility

Not savegame compatible with saves from previous versions.

Uploaded as of 12:19am EST.

Update: uploaded very minor revision of CP and CBP folders at 10:45am EST. Savegame compatible. Fixes barbs being a bit too aggressive, and adds UI tenet bonuses for Kuna.

Clear cache.

Would it be possible for the installer to replace the cache with a new cleared cache? I don't fret it would harm anything except verifying all of your mods with every installation which is usually every 3-7 days. :mischief:

No. Don't want to try to delete files that may or may not exist.

These are two different installation paths. Which one is wrong?

Did you on purpose scrolled to the end of path so we can't see letter of partition ? Or you are just trying to be sarcastic. What ever the case is, if people can't figure out simple things as that, they should first learn basic guidelines of how to operate pc or start using their head for a change instead of silly "one click button for all solution " (I am looking at steam users, it's embarrassing )

Are you trying to troll or did you accidentally uploaded two times the same screenshot?

So to my statement that there shouldn't be any confusion about the installer:

So at the one above you have to know that the Mods will be installed to the Documents folder, which is most time automatically selected.

After that comes the EUI Setup, where the destination folder will already give you the hint that it has to be installed in the directory of your CIV V installation, so you have to use your brain there.
If you have a look at the path what was selected by EUI Setup you might have to alter this one, because it will not find your install directory automatically.

So besides the general procedure of deleting your cache and ModUserData folder in your Documents, deleting possible old version of CPP. There is not much you have to worry about.
I can not understand why some people can not use their brain and just click Next > until a finish button will appear.
Sorry there isn't much to read or think about.

Once that has now been said, we calm down a bit :D

It scrolls to the end automatically, in case you didn't know.
so we can't see letter of partition ?
The letter won't do much, because the path is different.
Or you are just trying to be sarcastic. What ever the case is, if people can't figure out simple things as that, they should first learn basic guidelines of how to operate pc or start using their head for a change instead of silly
Nah, we will just have the bugs thread and this one flooded with questions "why doesn't it work?" even more. If the installer doesn't doesn't want to be newb-friendy, why newbs should bother?
"one click button for all solution " (I am looking at steam users, it's embarrassing )
But that's exactly what the installer is supposed to be.
Are you trying to troll or did you accidentally uploaded two times the same screenshot?
I think you should check for trolls under your bed, might find some. And I specifically said those are two different paths, but thanks for proving my point anyway.

The letter won't do much, because the path is different.

Ah,I see now what you meant by two different paths (I never paid attention if it's scrolls to the end because I change path before I even look at what installer has chosen), now when I examined those two SS (trick is in that blinking cursor. One screenshot has it over DLC so path is Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DC and another has it over Assets so path is Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assts\DLC).

However you have to understand that Gazebo is using freeware installer, meaning that he can't alter it's behavior because he doesn't have access to source code.
