Community Patch - How To Install

I'm experiencing crashes with this version. Previous ones (last version i played was an August release) worked fine. I've tried completely reinstalling Civ5, deleting all old files before reinstalling. Using just the mods that are part of the full community patch + global relations (tried w/o global relations, same issue). The game crashes within a couple dozen turns.

Any suggestions?

got a strange error.. think i did everything right, but all my icons are food... what am i doing wrong?

You didn't delete the LUA folder in CP and CBP folder.
 
Cant get past 1st turn in this game with these mods on, Have tried EUI and non EUI versions always seem to get stuck trying to access my first city has been this way for past few versions. Have cleared cache and deleted all mods then reinstalled the community patch from the self installer EXE files

Same problem. I'll have to go back to an older version. I crashed on turn 300 with that one. :)

I found in trying a rollback that this last version must have changed some files somewhere as there are visuals on the CS that weren't there in the last version and the game still crashes. I'll have re-install the game.

I know you mean well, but as good as Thal's work was in CEP, it's not even close to being comparable... Thal didn't touch code at all; the best parts of CBP are pure code. Proof? You can happily run only the CP patch, the rest vanilla, and it's already a superior product than CEP. Add to that the rest of the CBP, and you have Civilization 5.95... :D

In fact, if there is some intelligence left at Firaxis (one can hope, right?), they are paying close attention to what is being done here, including active participation of the community... if.
 
Did something change in the installation in the new update. I can't get it to start with all the thing enabled form the start.
 
so i downloaded and installed the mod from here, the community patch(grabbed the EIU full download one), the game seems to run fine for the most part. and i did read threw alot of the pages of this forum, but there is so many pages. so i am sorry if i missed a fix for my issues. 1. when the game loads it has me choose directx 9 or 10/11. ive used both, 10/11 seems to run a bit smoother for me or should i be using something else? 2. the tech tree doesnt open at all, can not choose a starting tech to research? 3. i can not click the menu/options buttons at the top of the screen. not a huge deal, but still kind of an annyoance. i did clear the cashe, i have restarted the game a few times, but still same thing. any help would be fantastic, thank you very much

I'd make a post in the bug reports thread if this persists. In any case, sounds like EUI did not end up in your civ install. Make sure that the EUI file ended up in the dlc folder of your civ install.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, my apologies if this has been already addressed.

First, many thanks for Gazebo for his hard work! This is an awesome mod that I've gotten many hours of enjoyment out of. You're literally "the man" !

I've been trying to play this mod multiplayer with two other people, using this steam work around https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=361391109. For those of you unfamiliar with the work around, it uses Firetuner to create a MP folder that you can distribute to each computer and allow multiplayer to work. My problem is that Firetuner is not copying the Civ IV diplomacy folder at all, I've tried manually putting the diplomacy folder into the MP folder but that doesn't work, apparently it all has to be done through Firetuner, or I'm just not adept enough at computers to do it manually.

Is it possible that the folder isn't configured properly to work with Firetuner, and that will be fixed in an upcoming patch? Or has anybody else had any luck running this with multiplayer using a different method?

: And after browsing the forums a bit, I saw the MP thread. It wasn't there when I started playing in September, guess I never checked it again. Sorry for the semi-spam, I'll try the info in that thread and leave this up as a monument to my disgrace.
 
A question about the requirements:

I bought the Complete Edition. As far as I can tell, I have all of the requirements; but it says I don't. What am I missing?

EDIT: To be clearer, it actually says "mod is missing required dependencies". I interpreted that to mean that I didn't have all necessary DLC, but now I'm thinking I didn't install correctly? I did the auto-install for the Community Patch Project Full (EUI Version) one. I also cleared the cache. Is there something I'm missing?

EDIT 2: Nevermind, I'm dumb. I saw a couple of them in the mods list say that and assumed they all would say that. As soon as I noticed I could turn one on, it let me turn the rest on.
