1938
May- November
Poland has been riped apart. The German Reich has burst into poland with lightning speed. The Wehrmacht, the Panzer Corps and the Luftwaffe thrust east in late May to drive deep and capture Warsaw. The Poles flew in full retreat toward the Russian border. Polish troops and civilians flooded the Soviet Union as refugees. The Soviets had no idea what to think of all these dirty, battle-hardened Poles suddenly inside their nation. The Poles, who were relying on Russian aid, found none and thus saw no hope for victory. Their armies were crushed easily. Konigsburg is liberated by the Germans and the starving inhabitants are given much needed food. The only thing that is stoping the Poles from complete destruction is their newly built fortifications.

Speaking of the Russians, they have entered war. Not in Europe, but Asia. Yes that's right, the Russians have attacked...... Turkey! The Soviet Union declared war on the Turks as retalliation for their unprovoked attack on Greece. The Russians pushed a hard front into Anatolia and a well planned amphibious assault on Istanbul. The Turks were completely caught off guard and annihilated. The Turks are wide open.
The Greeks, with the help of the Americans were abble to push the Turks from their lands and got a few miles into the enemy's positions. This leaves a small Turkish pocket between the Greeks and the Russians. But the Turks aren't the greeks main problem anymore.
When the opening weeks of June came around, the Greeks found their water ways increasingly hard to traverse. The Greek's ships were being sunk at everyturn and the American planes were being spotted and destroyed by Turkish ships miles away. Then in early July the Greeks spotted a surfaced Italian submarine. They stormed the sub as ordered and found no mercantile staff of any kind they opened fire and shot the entire crew. The Greek government declared war on the Italian Empire.

Greece has a new enemy to the West as Albania declared Union with Italy. The small country was supposed to get a sattelite position but a small amount of armed pro-italian fascists declared Albania part of the Empire.
France stays in Spain.
The Spanish civil war is finally over as Franco signes a deal with the Republicans allowing them a small Republic in the South. Many nationalists find this unsettling.
In the Far east, the Japanese take the Communist Capital to find it empty. At 1.30 A.M, November, 1938 the Communist Capital exploded as thousands of pounds of explosives erupted on Japanese soldiers. The actual explosion didn't do much against the Japanese in lives lost but it did help the Communist propaganda machine as thousands of people 'enlisted' to avenge the Chinese dead. It was a brilliant move by Mao.
The Japanese were able to take a few ports and destroy the Chinese Navy. Once again proving the Japanese military as supreme in Asia.
however, the Japanese are begining to lose grip of their territory as supply laines are becoming harder to maintain.
War has erupted in South America as Brazil remains in Paraguay and annexes Uruguay. Venezuela responds by invading Brazil. The Brazilians respind quickly and push north. While the Venezuelans were able to hold a good grip on a large pocket of Brazilian territory. The new Fascist government in Brazil circulated this message through out the nation
How dare these Venezuelans deny us our rightful land for Greater Brazil? Intolerable they must be taught a lesson
The Axis powers are strong as ever.
The U.S broods in North America and sends elite fighter squadrons to help in Greece.
The Swedes excersise mass war games in the north of their country to train their army for winter war. When they will go to war is still to be seen.
1938 is still a violant year.
