Computer Questions Not Worth Their Own Thread II

yet the internet works. Vista cant find any problems.

I had that happened when my internet spontaneously (along with audio and visual studders when playing an online game) disconnects. I just simply restart the computer and it works fine.

How do you make a pre-existing PDF an editable PDF? (My Google-fu has failed)

uncheck "read-only" in properties

at least, that should do it. I'll admit I'm unfamiliar with pdf files.

I believe you need Acrobat Pro, though I may be wrong. (Assuming you're using Acrobat at all...)

Yeah, Acrobat Reader doesn't cut it ;)

If this is the only document you need to do this for, I believe Adobe offers a time-limited trial of Acrobat pro, which should do the trick for you.

If you want to turn a FLAC with a bitrate of 1030 Kbps to MP3, whats the least lossy encoder?
(I'm keeping the original FLAC, I just want to send the MP3 to someone but she has dialup and it takes forever to send the original.)

Thanks. I like LAME but I just wanted to make sure there wasnt a better one.

Question: I was running this test for bittorrent. I ran it a few times and it kept cutting out in the middle. is this a bad sign?

Lately I have been getting issues in regards to imageshack and Images loading slowly. Are there any alternative imagehosting sites that can handle 2MBs of PNG files without automatically compressing them into JPEG files?

Others have suggested Imgur, but I found out that it just converts and compresses my PNG files into JPEG.

MediaFire. I use it mostly for animations.

Ill show you how to do it. Heres one of my own images (just pulled out of random):

Then you click "More sharing options" and theres a direct URL:

Surely you could have used another pic for a demo, right? I mean, isn't the Petty stuff supposed to be in A&E?

Sadly enough, all the other pics were of the same thing. except the rest were animations and I dont know why I had that one there. And I didnt feel like upping a pic just for that.

for the last week, 2-3 times a day, my internet randomly cuts out for about 30 seconds each time. It does this on both computers apparently. How can you identify if its the router or not? (You never know when its going to cut so plugging into the modem directly isn't much help... as by the time you do that it'd be back up anyways)

The stupid thing messed up bittorrent. I was gonna have this file within the hour and now the ETA is 7-8 hours

Plug one of the computers directly into the modem. If you still are losing the connection, then it's not the router.
