Stile's point was that at one time it was just an uphill battle for a Catholic to become president as a Black person or a female, but it has now happened, thus there's nothing to say that a black person or a women will never be President of the USA

Kennedy was shot because of his anti-communist views, not his catholic relgions. That being said, many people did not support a Catholic president because they believed it would allow the Pope to run the country.
