Yeah,i've daydreamed alot of times that i was shipwrecked with a bunch of bi-sexual victoria secret supermodels.:D

I obviously need to re-read this book!

I CONSTANTLY dream about being shipwrecked.

I dunno if you know this, but it is a DEFINITE FACT that I'll be living on a boat for a good portion of my life (and I don't mean this in a joking silly way like your giant multi-million dollar sea-platform)

I love boats so much! Although I'd prefer if it were just me and my dog stuck on an island and not my whole stinkin' family.

Indeed, I don't remember the film including them either :p

In response to the question, I did when I was younger. Me and my friend used to play out a desert island scenario (our submarine crashed and we had to evacuate :p.) Was fun to build base camps from what we could find.

Not so much anymore, would get sick of my family being there.

Fifty- just you wait! I am going to do it, just you wait!

haha we'll see, though I strongly suspect you harbor some deeply held illusions about what the sea-life is all abot, matey!

Just live on a sailboat like me, it'd be about infinitely more feasible.

but that involves all the faf of sailing.. and not just getting on with life on your own private island :)

I think Swiss family robinson style would be much much much better than robinson caruso (sp) - they had each other, he was on his own for a while!

Have read the book, but no, don't wish to live that kind of existence. Not even for a day.

Not that I fear starving or freezing to death. I did go through training after all. (Maybe I'm disclosing too much... :mischief: )

The fact is, I've simply grown too attached to sturdy walls, warm and soft beds, running water, electricity, air conditioning, computers, the internet... :D

I've watched Survivor enough to know enough about survival so I could probably survive until I get sick, then I'd die. My family on the other hand wouldn't last two weeks; except for my brother, he's like a weaker, skinnier me.

I'd rather be by myself than with a bunch of people...

But yeah, it'd be mildly amusing.

No, our ancestors created and advanced civilization so we wouldn't have to live in squalor, why anyone would want to revert to such a life is beyond me.

no way, i like our technological achievments too much for that. :) Furthermore, I'd miss people if I had to live just with my family for the rest of my life...

I prefer the Lost scenario to the Swiss Family Robinson classic.

If by "a bunch of people" you mean complete and utter strangers, than maybe I would prefer to be on my own (and thats a very tenuous maybe, I would have to think long and hard about being abandoned on my own) , but if you mean friends and family, I would definitly prefer to be with them.

Even friends and family would get old fast. I'd prefer them to a group of total strangers, but after a few days, I'm sure I'd rather be alone.

Shipwrecked with my family on an island covered in coconuts?

Yeah, OK, just as long as I also have an ACME Giant Rubber Sling arrive in the tides.
