So 23 weeks out (ughhhhhhhh) and the first civ preview. If they keep releasing a civ preview a week (and we clearly have a large enough sample to prove this is their plan), then we got 5 extra weeks.

Maybe wonderful winks of wonders?
Perhaps confusing collections of civics?
Feasibly astonishing allotment of armies?
Reasonably a varied volume of victories?

Well I bet the last month will be just hype videos and stuff from steamers. I recall the past few expansions they actually had their own live streams ~ 1 month out. I'm sure they would do that again. I wonder if they plan a Firaxis-con this year? That would also be a good time to wrap up all the civ hype.

I would hate them so much if they revealed the last civ live at Firaxicon. They better be livestreaming that thing.

Unless my math is off (which is always a possibility) I count 17 weeks until release on October 21st, not including this week? That would turn out perfectly for one civ showcase video a week detailing the 17 remaining civs. I hope this is the plan, as my insatiable lust for information is getting out of hand...

That would work out nicely, but I hope we'll have some weeks with multiple reveals and know every civ/leader before the game is out.

I hope they do it alphabetically. Then we can already exclude some civs.

If they reveal one civilization every Monday, then the 18th one will be revealed on October 17th, before the game release on that same week Friday, October 21st.

By next week we should know, but I don't think they will reveal them in alphabetic order. In one of the E3 videos, Ed did mention they would be revealing first the "true and tested" civilizations, so the completely new ones should be the last ones, for example.
