CrezNES - Another Return to Our Roots

Give us Taiwan and we will be done.

From Jasiran
To Empire of the Rising Sun

If you give us Java, we are willing to help you on both fronts.

I have a few complaints/questions:
a) Where did my colony in Greenland go? Last turn, I had quite the nice colony in there.
b) "Used to warm weather"? My people have been living in Iceland and Ireland for 2 centuries!! Don't tell me that my sailors are not used to cold, they have navigated the North Atlantic waters for years!
c) I am missing 5 gold in my investing in technology, it should be at 10/15, not 5/15.
d) What does the "Recession!" thing in my stats mean? Are my growth points starting to go down?
e) It's been centuries since I the last time I saw my nation getting more growth from trade.
f) We STILL need some Iron Age and Classical Age wonders! And you should also update the list of alliances, the Kingdom of Milan doesn't exist anymore and the Three Kings Alliance has probably lost Florida as a member.

Some diplo:

Bogota: History of the Colonbian Region capital

In the year 1285 of the Kingdom, Bogota, the first Tartessian city ever built in the gigantic island of Colonbia, the westernmost and northernmost place to be settled by the peoples of the greatest nation in Europe, was being badly hit by a hard blizzard. That winter was being specially cold, and no one could get out of their homes without being buried in snow and frozen.

However, this didn't mean that all of them were isolated. Doing a great deal of work along the years, the small town of Bogota had mostly become underground, which gave the population protection from the extreme coldness, and their underground warehouses had lots of food - salted fish, oliva oil, wheat, whale meat - and enough wood to keep their rooms heated for the whole six months the coldness kept them there.

Very few people in the town died from coldness, in spite of what some people would think, and those would be because they made big mistakes like not making sure of being warm enough when leaving their rooms. However, children had lots of fun when winter came, as the adults would many times leave a chamber isolated and full of snow that the kids liked to throw at each other. There was also one chamber that kept the snow that was melted to have water, and the system to keep it full of snow yet isolating the city from the outside was quite ingenious: this chamber was at the end of a corridor, and when the first door of the corridor was opened, the windows that let the snow enter the chamber closed themselves, and next to the door between the corridor and the water-snow chamber there was a rope that closed the first door at a distance, thus stopping cold from entering the city.

In the year 1399 of the Kingdom, contact was lost with the cities of Colonbia, and Tartessos thought that all people in there would have died. However, this was not the case, as the underground cities were able to survive thanks to the system of artificial caves that had been excavated along the years, and by the summer of the year 1400 a messenger was sent to the near Isla del Hielo, informing that, save for a few people who were very old, all the inhabitants of Colonbia were perfectly well, save for a bit of undernourishment for the rationing they had been forced to implement.

Even today, the Colonbian people still live in the underground cities that their antecessors built so many years ago, although implemented with the most modern appliances...

OOC: That's right, they have not disappeared, they are only isolated! And I hope to see them back in the map ASAP!

As promised, we offer the Iron Age Tech for 5 gold.

To Zulu
From Songhai

We accept this deal.

Orders and Story coming later.

BTW Crezth, can you invest in other people's economies?

I don't see why not.

@D'Artagnan59, I believe EQ was going to be the Floridian Empire(Mexico), though I not sure....

EQ is playing Aurin. Also, it was his wish that Mexico be called Floridian Empire, not Mexico, so I will not allow a name change.

We find it interesting that you would surrender your homeland in its entirety for peace with Koryo, but will not simply relinquish Taiwan for peace. Strange. I suggest your people rise up and remove your obviously insane ruler to save themselves.

Resiliance

Even though our culture vastly outnumber those of Teutonia, Russia and Norway, they refuse to join our lands even though they will benefit from our social programs and receive technological benefits as well.

As the UEP heads into the Iron age, we take a peak at the insides of these three almost Barbarian states.

In Teutonia, even though their weapons are pretty advanced, it is still crude and dull. Their forts but hacked stone, their houses but dugouts with roofs.

In Norway it is worse, the cold leads to cave-houses even though their slightly southerner UEP Swedish Province contains large longhouses and fire buildings constructed of heat saving layers. Even dazzled by these vast cultural differences and friends for over 400 years they refuse to join use and reap the benefits.

The Wildest, Russia, is really pitiful. For ages they have not even advaned their technology. Their single army consists of 7 thousand men with rough spears and their homes are just a spot in the wilderness where it is more sheltered than others. It is amazing that theys still survived: some barbarians even live better then they did!

In Culture, the single greatest home is Tartessos, compared to us they polish almost every surface, giving them a sheen. However, their advance is only barely over ours. And we like our rustic furniture and our warm coves better than the Teutons, their Huts. The Norweagian Caves and shelters and the Russian tent. It is known that they don't care for those and will love to have even a night's sleep in one of our cabins...

The last story is of disgrace: the Hellenic Republic. Even though its people are enlightened they don't remember any signifigant collective past. It is summarized that they will soon see the north barbarians better even than they in culture.

(Just to show you the HUGE difference in culture and how unrealistic that Norway, an ally and under vast pressure, never joined us! GRRRRRRRR!)

To the union:
From the H.R.:

Cease your blasphemies at once, and desist! We do not care for your mindless ramblings. Our culture far exceeds your own and could easily destroy your pitiful states. We are the classicals, the most advanced nation on the planet.

(OOC: Yes, but the Union doesn't support her ramblings, see the Parin Paper; And it is Pitiful State. :( Don't post if you can't understand my nation.)
Also, I found out why I lost my orders. I titled them ARTOR: CHANNEL UNION. Please edit your update and stats and give me my banked gold or just use my orders. (What? no banked?) :sarcasm:
