Criminal huggers

Eh? You'd get banned for being popular?

Sadly yes. Almost 21K views on my profile at TWC. :goodjob:

Sorry to blow your ego bubble but the first statement... questionable. :mischief:

For the second statement: popular does not equal good and your thread here has little value. I will not discuss mod actions but on places like Something Awful these types of threads would not last seconds for good reasons.

Ok so..... :mischief:

Ok so..... :mischief:

Something Awful has good mods, mods that do their job.

I would suggest your attention graping is not a worthy effort. Sure it might be good to be in the spotlight but the mock threads on other forums will take your material and alas bad publicy is not good publicity... although  will be generated at your expence.

Just a consideration...

So wait, you are knowingly engaging in light troll-baggery as a form of petty online PvP by calling for the incarceration of fellow forum goers when they are generous enough to share what might be called less than ideal life experiences? Classy.
Weeell, it looks bad, I will admit. But.....what can I say?

mock threads on other forums will take your material
Oh yes? Sounds interesting. I've not seen any of these. Can you recommend one?

(Or maybe I have seen one, but didn't realize it wasn't just bad.)

He wouldn't last a week at Somethingawful, the mods tend to purge bad posters over there

Something Awful was the origin of these types of threads. They tend to be a lot of threads specialising in mocking, especilly in the Post Your Favourite section of the site. There are sites that set themselves on mocking. My prime forum, Beyond the Lampshade, has a "Stupid **** on Other Websites" thread which is a example of a mock thread.

Of course mock threads have envolved into other mediums with special mention to "This Troper" by CrazyGoggs on YouTube in mocking TvTropes for the many, many problems on the site.

Cleaning duty is a very important duty.

Oh right. Just had a quick look at Beyond the Lampshade. And whom do I see immediately but Ailedhoo and Windfish?

Where do you people find all this time to read stuff on the Internet? Maybe I'm just a slow reader.

Anyway, I shall examine BTL more carefully.

We find time like everyone does when it comes to foruming.

BTW I like to issue that we are welcoming to new members if fancy...

Yes, I might. Especially if I get banned from here.

I've just been looking at the permanent ban list on BTL and found this given as a reason:
Being a terrible person. Also, cherry-picking arguments, ignoring thread rules, derailing, false accusations of racism, not understanding privilege in a social justice context, and being a terrible person

What's "not understanding privilege in a social justice context" mean?

Thanks, Mr M.

Once you have a basic grasp on the system of privilege, the next step is one simple self-realization: you are privileged. Chances are, your reading that has made you feel defensive.
My first reaction: yes, I am. No, it didn't.

Do I win a prize?

I am a master curser, myself, Mr A. I cannot object to it. Only get bored if there really is too much.

Privilege is a relative term. I can't go to "bad evil words" forums while at work, but the definitions you have quoted for me are pretty useless without knowing what the greater context is. :(

Well you're a pretty liberal person, so I wouldn't have expected anything less from you :)
Given the context, I'll take that as a positive comment. So, thanks very much.

The subject of privilege is interesting. Not an entirely new one to me, but certainly worth a careful reconsideration.

I mean, if one's knee-jerk response to apprehending a guy who attempted to commit mass murder is throwing an "evil entrapment is evil!" tantrum, then I'm not even sure what is going on.

someone "wanting to commit mass murder" is not in itself all evil. you have to have the means for that as well.

a psychiatric patient believing to be hitler is amusing. hitler is not amusing.

and it seems that that difference was provided by the police itself in this case.

Well, this is the same guy who repeatedly tried to hack into the head admin's account, engaged in "light troll-baggery," made countless double logins to circumvent bans, etc.

Ask askthepizzaguy if you want all of the gory details.

Really? This is the head admin's account at CFC? Or at the previous forum?

He's referring to the totalwar.org forums. WARMAN is an émigré from that sleazy den of iniquity.

Ah yes. I remember. I must go take a look.

edit: well, that's just yet another games forum - is it any sleazier than CFC? Though CFC seems 10x bigger in terms of numbers, which may mean nothing. I couldn't find a list of banned members - so nothing interesting on WARMAN easily available. But I don't think it worthwhile bothering askthepizza.
