Culture and Happiness building names

Yes, but movie studios tend to centralize in one location per country. USA -> L.A., Canada -> Toronto, India -> Bombay/Hollywood, Germany -> Munich (more or less...), Arab World -> Cairo.

Cinema's on the other hand would be found in every city and could fit better as a city building, no? But these of course have been used as location for political speeches as well, from Leni Riefenstahl to the Valley of the Wolves...

I do dislike your constant rewriting of your posts, makes my simple follow-ups always seem quite - well - simplicistic to the carefully crafted expository post of yours ;) However, my point stands.

As for the :c5food: line, I never liked the Medical Lab as a building, seems too fringe. Vaccinations however works even less as a building name imho. If it were a National Wonder, okay, but as a single building? I agree that the effect of vaccinations should be displayed, but that'd work better as a tech effect than buildings, no?

I'd rather have Supermarket or something that points to the importance of pasteurization and refrigeration -> keep food longer better, as a rename of the Medical Lab. If a good name for "vaccination building" comes to my mind, I'd get back to that, but I got nothing for the moment ;)

Ah for Vaccination Building... ah I keep coming back to Research Labs/ Research Laboratories or I guess Biotech Labs, Hygienic Laboratory, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, Medicines Agency, National Institutes of Health... Damn this is a tough one.

Random thought- World Health Organization (WHO) new wonder, ops off topic.

If we are looking for a building name to reflect the effect of the vaccinations could I suggest - "Clinic".

Its not a hospital and its not a research/medical lab but it is the place where vaccinations might take place.

I think having vaccinations as a national wonder unlocked by hospitals would be pretty cool. It would basically give medical labs to all cities and would be wayy cheaper than investing in medical labs for all cities (and boosts hospitals, labs and tall civs in one change).

Duh. Why didn't that come up? Of course, perfect solution. Though I'd change the succession a bit since I'd feel that Apothecarys would come earlier than large Hospitals. Pharmacies sound later again, no? So that would go

Granary -> Sanitation System / Aquaeduct* -> Apothecary -> Hospital

*depending on wether the sanitation system is the base building and Aquaeduct the Roman UB or Aquaeduct the base building and Sanitation System the Indian UB ;)

How about Plumbing Infrastructure? Or Sanitation Infrastructure? Not exactly a building but you still build it and it is a really important part of your city.

I'm okay with representing city services in the game. Why limit ourselves to physical structures? There's precedent with things like the Science process, Heroic Epic, Apollo Program, and so on. :)

Heroic Epic has always been to me a statue of the tale or referring to an important place in the Heroic Epic itself, be that a bridge, castle, meadow, spring, beach, pass or whatever.

I do agree that we can have non-buildings, but I prefer to use actual buildings if possibles. And the spreading of pharmacies and the medical method does seem like a good way to represent what we are trying to ;)
