<IMG SRC="http://www.virtuallandmedia.com/img2/flags-4/europe/FIN.GIF" border=0> I have stolen this idea from Az.
I'm a pathetic little wimp.

Hmmm...Let me think...

Question 28: There is a group of people in Europe which has the particularity of speaking Turkish but write it with Greek characters. Which is it and where do they live?
Feel free to give more details if you find it as the story of these people is very interesting and peculiar.

(dtziouf what do you think? are you surprised? I was too when I learned it.)

Didn't read right. Again. You said 'What about Q28?', and I assumed that that would be the next question. But I was wrong.

Whoa!

You're right!!!

What did you search for in order to find it?

The story of the Gagauzi is very interesting.

They are orthodox but Turkish orthodox. They don't depend on the Greek Patriarchate of Constantinople but on the Turkish one!!!

That's the Turkish Patriarchate of Istambul

<IMG SRC="http://www.istanbulguide.net/im/turkort.jpg" border=0>

Strange uh?

The Gagauzi are 200.000.
They live in eastern balkans.

In fact Turkey is using them to show it's a laic state with great diversity and freedom in religion (which is partially correct).

Question 29: The "Iron Brigade" (1/1/I Corps) earned the distiction of being the best fighting unit in the Army of the Potomac. From what states did their regiments come from, and what was distinctive about their accoutrement by which they were distinguished upon the field of battle?

And as a bonus question: Who were their commanders -- brigadier, divisional, and corps -- upon McPherson's Ridge, perhaps their finest hour?

Regiments: 3 from Wisconsin and 1 from Indiana 1 from Michigan.

The Sixth and Seventh Wisconsin Infantry units served until the end of the war earning the honored "Veteran Infantry" designation.

That's all I found....
