Me accidentally sounding like a misogynist made this happen

Seriously though, my bad for that.
I forgot all about that, actually

Don't worry about it.
I'm happy it went that way though, because I was a hypocrite myself demanding female representation in video games when I had the means to make a difference in my own domain.
(I'm far from done by the way, the next big step is to actually get more female names into the GP name lists so the new art actually appears. There's less than ten female names in the game right now. The goal is at least one per pre-modern civ and at least one per type for all others.)
Anyways, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I remember a while ago you said you have plans to add more tactical angles to the wars (I think you said tactical). What's the word on that?
You're right, and as always I already have some ideas in mind. The plan is actually to make this the big thing of the next version, so I will tackle this right after release of this version (whose list of features is kind of delineated at this point).
I don't want to go into too much detail, but my current plans include:
- making defending cities easier and allowing more proactive action while doing so
- limiting freedom of movement in enemy territory
- making forts more useful
- weakening (especially pre-gunpowder) artillery in field battles
As usual, the solutions to these problems are intertwined, because that's how I like my game design
