Pagania might be cool too.
I suggest corridor to Croatia as was the post WWI demand of Czechs then. Austria is that corridor...What Czech land really needs, of course, is a corridor to the sea.
Now, which direction should it go in?
Hmm. How about out through the south coast of Italy? Should be fun.
You have a point. I may like English Czechia more but in Czech Česká republika sounds better then just Česko.I don't recognize the authority of the Czech Republic to change their name in any language which they don't consider as an official language of their country.
I like Europa Universalis series but Sudetland is not a proper region. Not ever since the Germans have left...How about the Federal Republic of Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, and Sudetenland?
After this upcoming election when left is going to prevail we may as well change the name to Peoples socialist republic of Czechia. The Greater People's Democratic Republic of Prague and Amnesiac-ia.
How about the Federal Republic of Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, and Sudetenland?
We are just not much of a big fans of a Catholic church - besides that we believe in lots of things....How about Atheistia? Or Nogodland? Or Jozinzbazinia?
And yes, give that Hlučínsko back!!!! You see how ridiculously it looks on the map?
Edit: oops I meant Kladsko...
Hlučínsko is good idea with Krakow as capital.
Really? btw is it really an [wiki=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close-mid_back_rounded_vowel]o[/wiki] there in that fonetic translation instead of an [wiki=Open-mid_back_rounded_vowel]ɔ[/wiki]?It's the closest translation to the Czech equivalent, which is "Česko" - pronounced as /ˈt͡ʃesko/. But the single-word term was controversial even in Czech and many people still reject it or frown when they hear in the media.
Nominative case, maybe? It's like the Finns' adding an i to loanwords ending in consonants. Not sure why we've put a different ending on the name, but here it's Tjeckien. ..sounds more like a country with a proper ending.
Τώρα, εσείσ είσαστε Ρομαιοι.^That is what the current dictatorboat here is doing anyway.
Why weird? As a Czech myself I vote for Czech Republic. Czechia sounds just weird.
Maybe we could call it The Kingdom of Heaven on Earth? But the name is not that important (as long as it is called The Great Bohemia) but it could be an interesting project in the central Europe if some of the obvious obstacles could be surmounted.... and of course we would need at least two corridors: to Croatia(by annexing Austria) and to Serbia (by annexing whats left of Hungary)What would we call it? Bolechslavstan?
Sounds kinda gypsy to me - much more then Bohemia where this connection may actualy have some justification...Why weird?
No worries, Poland is used to all kinds of neighbourswarpus culture-flipping Canada? SoCanadaPoland would be to the north of a country ruled by an African

Ha! I forgot about that tunnel to the sea idea. That was one of history's most hilariously grandiose ideas. I wish it had been attempted.
