Update: I'm organizing the leaderheads I'll use for the beta for a photoshoot. I'll have that up within 48 hours. I have posted a preview of the Title Screen on the overview in the 1st post, if anyone was interested.

New Update: Here are the latest pics I put in the overview.

A preview of the title screen

A look at the faces of the leaders as far the beta goes:

Title Screen: Should I put the Dungeons & Dragons on 1 line and leave out Mystara? Or Mystara Mod? What wording do you think I should redo it with. It currently was put this way:
Dungeons
&
Dragons
Mystara Mod

Should it be just:
1)Dungeons & Dragons

2)Dungeons & Dragons
Mystara Mod

3)Dungeons & Dragons
Mystara

I didn't put it in a hold folder file in my photoshop so I'll have to redo entire thing, but that's fine, it was pretty easy to set up. Oh yeah, I'll shrink the words to about half that size, you think that would be fine or should I do more?

Vic Point Local: No prob then. I thought it was a Firaxis thing. It looks great to me. The river just can't be helped so no sense worrying about it. Your move was an improvement. You're the man! :goodjob:

Sn00py's Forest?: Those look good. I forget about Pine Forests being able tio be placed on other than tundra. That looks good. I don't know if they're Sn00py's either. Since many of the graphix being used for this mod are either made by combinations of several creators or from sources with no readme files, I'm going to add an advisor when the beta is posted for those who reckognize their work or someone elses to post their claim so when I release the full mod I will have a good readme giving credit to everyone whose graphix were used. I have a feeling thought that it may just be a very long list of poeple and what type of graphic they made, not specific graphix or units. The trrain will be the most difficult since you and I have been tinkering with it so it looks more D&D like. I'll just worry about it later.

Davania: Breathtaking view there. That has long been my favorite land, and in particular the region you previewed there. Izonda. Where my former players retired their characters.

Wow, that is a great view. I'm in love with this map already and your not even finished with it. This may be my favorite map of all time!

tjedge1,

option 2 sounds better for the name.

That's 1 vote for option 2 then, anyone else?

Oh yeah, and how about the letter coloring? Was there any problem with that?

Love the title screen, love the map, the leader heads! All of it looks GREAT! Thanks for all the hard work. When do we get to play? :crazyeye:

A release date? :crazyeye: Well I can't quite release an exact day yet, but a beta may come up in late March early April. That's a bit away, I know, but I want to make sure that Firaxis is done with patches before I release it. The tester version will be held in private with some close friends of mine. We will try to fix all the crashes and then I'll prep it for beta.

Things to do still:
1)Finish adding units to the editor
2)Finish the City Lists/Leaders and King names for civs
3)Figure out what wonders to make
4)Check all the graphix and sound files and get them in proper folders and with proper connections through the ini files.
5)Finish putting together the tech trees.
6)Set up the resource pcx
7)Type up the PediaIcons file.
8+)There are plenty more that I can't think of at the moment.

I'll be home most of today alone, so I'll be getting as much of this as possible done today.

I posted this in the overview to replace the list of resources. I have 23 spaces left on this file and I will use them if anyone could come up with any more bonus resources. I won't add any more luxary or strategic resources since I have plenty, but bonus are just that a bonus and I would be willing to add some if there were any ideas.

Current Resources List plus a preview of it in the pcx file.
(s)=strategic resource / (l)=luxary resource / (b)=bonus resource

I'd play your mod if you completed it. Question: Did you get the dragon resource from Age of Wonders?

Im also into D&D, and I own two Mystaria boxed sets, Glantri: Kingdom of Magic, and Karameikos: Kingdom of Adventure. I also own the Rules Cyclopedia, where I pressume your map of Mystaria came from, isn't it great!

You can chat with me about D&D, Mystaria, Spelljammer, or Planescape(My favorate setting), at Wizard's of the coast's "Other Worlds" message boards, where I also go by the name, "Sword of Geddon". I think I'd like that.

PS: Your title screen is fine

Funny I happen to be registered under tjedge1 there in those forums I believe. I'll have to check, it's been a while since I went there. The map actually came from some online site, but I can't remember which, and it matches perfect with the ones in the Rules Cyclopedia. I think the guys running the site I listed on my Overview is using the Wizard's of the Coast Forum to design the rest of Mystara, because I read somewhere they were mentioning posts.

P.S.- I also think my title screen is fine. I think I will set it up so that those who download can choose whether they want to download a title screen and just set up some options to choose from. This one, a version with smaller "D&D Mystara", and maybe 1 or 2 runner ups for the title screen poll that is actually still open, I'm just using it now to determine if any others are worth making.

This mod has alot of potencial I'd say.

I'm assuming the mod takes place before the wrath of the immortals, as Karameikos is descibed as a Barony, rather than an independent kingdom(Its Baron Stefan rather than King Stefan), also, Alphatia is on the surface, not the Hollow World(one of my favorite things about Mystaria was that it was two worlds in one).

Some suggestions:

Some Countries, like Heldann, and especially Alphatia, have skyship fleets. Perhaps in the third age, you can research a tech which allows you to build small skyship scouts. Then, in the final age, several different sky-warships could be built, after researching the approapriate technologies. Both Alphatia and Heldann should have strong, unique skyships(UU).

Oh, and one last thing, I posted a thread on the mystaria message board about this mod, check it out, but it seems you have already been there! LOL
