DaftNES 3: Alternate-World Fresh Start

Well you see guys, with the board-game style foundation, there's supposed to be narrow things that you can spend 'e' on - units, the buildings, or tech levels. Or also like influencing/bribing people. Thats it. So ideally the focus shifts towards what choices you make, how it all fits together, and whatever character / story overlay you would like on it.

@Lord of Elves I don't have 'farms' as such. Or, you are already assumed to have as many farms as is appropriate. If there was a special crop resource, you could put workers on it for 2e a time. You can certainly invest in your 'Culture' tech, but 1e might not make an immediate difference, as 3e is the cost to reach level 3. Special events and things might fill in that gap, though.

In that case the revised orders for Vethmenari will be coming shortly.

Spoiler Iksander Antar'ah Orders :

Try to organize a "Confederacy of al-Qahira" with represented by 2/3 Iksander Antarans and 1/3 Salkdaji clerical positions to govern and administrate Qan'ma holy sites. Declare Qan'ma to be the Iksander "homeland" and Chari the Salkdaji "homeland," and as joint homelands the Iksander are responsible for defending the eastern border against incursions, and Salkdaji the western march.

2e to build a fort
1e to build another Qizilbay chariot-knight

Try to absorb Haelani attacks into where our defenses are most dense, and then counterattack into their lands.

Revised Orders for Vethmenari
We shall spend 1e to add another division of pikemen to our army.
The rest of our funds shall be banked towards construction and societal efforts later on.

Revised Orders for Vethmenari
We shall spend 1e to develop our construction techniques, so that we may be able to build on a large scale, and fortify military choke-points better as well.

Argh. Engineering is also a tech level. If you don't have the money to raise it, you might as well just bank it and spend it next turn.

Sorry, too much stuff going on in the Six Month War. My orders next turn will be more fluent.

You're naming wars you haven't even FOUGHT yet, now? Not to mention that wars in the ancient ages lasted for years if not longer. You know what, I'm not even going to try anymore. :p

I'm in the Six Month War NES, it is an alternate history of the First World War. I haven't been able to concentrate on this as much because of it.

I just realized Daft, after that revised spending PM I sent you, if you factor in the money sent to me by the Tharnites, I only really went 0.5e into debt. Though I'm not exactly sure when that's applied. Anyhow...just letting you know. :p

ONLY MINUTES REMAIN, thanks again for all the input, and @Thlayli I will look into the accounting, I assure you that you will be refunded for any mistakes!

Aiming to have the update up by Sunday night. Although things seem more straighforward this turn, and I plan to turn some Cradle#1 factions back into barbarians so it might just go a little faster.

Actions
Mecrati Zub Zecratec of the Holuc Chacuc, with the grudging acceptance of several other chiefs, accepts protectorate status to the Hulakap. Using the end of the invasion to his advantage, he leads an alliance to quickly crush and integrate dissenting tribes, boosting his own power. As per agreement with the Hulakap, all enslaved Holuc are returned, and freed- they will work gathering the resources of the land as freed people once again.

Holuc tribes, following the brief resumption of internal conflict, will go about raiding and destroying for profit all remaining barbarians in Zakat. Once this is complete, we will begin to raid into the small, but wealthy centres of Retiki.

OKIES update might possibly be ready in 24 hours, despite the fact I got fook-all done on thursday. First I need to resolve this:

prev4.png

The Haelani Gallo-Illyrian-Mycenean horde, being chased by the reformed al-Qahira, is attacking Hurud, which is defended by an equally awesome combined Sarakite-Hurian army, while the Nomesters have retaken their homeland and are probably attacking Makar, while I think one of the Vetharil units is going to get bored and rebel and go join the fighting on one side or other.

Looks very interesting. I look forward to seeing how things develop.
