In addition, how is the update coming, when is a rough estimate of when it will be completed so I don't need to keep a tab open on my computer and refresh it every once and a while in suspense...

Sorry about this folks, but it looks as though the update won't be arriving tonight like I'd thought; since I'll be gone for much of tomorrow (quiz bowl controls my soul), the whole thing will probably be lurching into the thread around this time tomorrow night (or morning depending on where you live).

Noobs. In other words, yes, this has been done over and over again previously; I seem to recall personally contributing to the creation of a GDI once, though it got renamed because by then people began to get tired with it.
