Departments that Ron Paul wants to axe

His policies aren't racist, they just support the individual's right to be a racist.

He is enabling racists.

He is also a racist himself and has had donations and support from white supremacists.

I really wish we could build a window to see what would happen in another universe where Ron Paul won.

I would really wish that too. I'm deeply conviced that Ron Paul policies would reduce the freedom of most of the american to a third world level... but I could be mistaken so I kind of wish for Ron Paul to win, just to see what happen.

I don't think he's a racist. It is true however that a racist have very good reasons to support him.

I would love for Ron Paul to win in a less important coutnry to the world (particular Canadian) economy. It would be interesting to see the actual impact and how much he believes and how much is BS he spreads because he won't need to prove it. I rate him right alongside Berlusconi as people that are great to watch in another country, but that I would never want here.
Don't get me wrong, I oppose virtually all of his policies, just be interesting to see an attempt to put them into force.

As opposed to the mainstream candidates who support the Patriot Act and the War on Drugs?

Oh sure, those things are bad but I don't they affect the daily lives of most people in a significant way. Remove all governement services however and you gonna see people dying in the street.

Isn't that a tad exaggerated? People forget this often, but the president =/= government. There's a Senate, HoR, and a Supreme Court. So there's no way he'd get everything he wanted even if he won.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm aware that Ron Paul don't have any chance of even passing the primaries, let alone get elected. Even if he would be, Obama, with all the political fervor that he had, barely manage to slightly reform the healthcare system so, of course, Ron Paul wouldn't change much. I was only discussing an hypotetical outcome where his policies would be applied.

He wants to axe one of the departments that initiated the Human Genome Project and continues to fund a significant portion of US research? Well, its been nice knowing America as the previous leader in science and technology worldwide. Maybe I'll look up to Europe instead.

America's never really been pro-intellectual.

Aye it is like a "necessary evil" there.
