DGIT # 3 - The Emperor Level Strikes Back

The reason the ottos were in our territory, is i had to sign an RoP to get through their territory, I was a little miffed when the mongols kicked me out, so thats what i did, Its in my turnlog.

Sorry guys (though we never agreed to be honourable in this game did we? :satan: :hammer: ).

Stay safe from Ivan, SC. :) Looks like a doozy. This has been one crazy year for big storms. Thankfully up here all I'm likely to get from Ivan will be a ton of rain and maybe some flooding.

Sorry for what? Maybe I'm missing something. Sounds like a good reason for an ROP. You didn't procede to attack the Ottos, so I can't see anything dishonorable about it. Not to mention that ROP helped me get to one of the Mongol cities without the Ottomans getting a bit irate. I've been a bit sick lately (aaah, young kids and daycare - you'll all find out someday) and probably just missed it in the turnlog. I was just surprised by the healthy looking Ottoman stack just sitting there - 8 or 9 units deep. They stayed on their best behavior for my turns anyway. ;)

He is talking about with the prospect of war with the Ottomans, it would technically be a broken deal if the ROP is still active. Stay safe from Hurricanes SC, one of the advantages of the UK - lots of rain, but no hurricanes.

Sandrock, Alerum, finish it up :p
I don't want to see a DGIT save before it is a demigod save :D

Agreed. But no worries there. Only a couple turns left on that ROP deal anyhow. :goodjob:

I probably apologised due to the fact I have a hyperactve concience. Don't worry about it, for one moment there I was thinking that we cared about our rep.

Only two opponents left (if we still want to count the French which we won't be by the end of Sandrocks turns). There's not much to protect in the way of rep at this point. Although at this point for Sandrock's turns, we'd do just as well to turn off tech research, strike up some lux deals with Osman for some moola and rush out a bunch of cavs to finish the French up right quick. And then we'll be honorable to the end anyhow. :D

Heh. 4 turns? I dropped it at 750. Nice job. And great job to the team. This game has been in the bag for a while. Oblivion's wars in the early going really helped us along. It also helped to have no one on our backside. And those elephants? Not bad at all. They really made quick work out of pikes and held their own against muskets. Heck, I had better luck with the elephants than the cavs.

I'm game for a 'pelago at well. But I say bump up the land percentage. Maybe we'll get a nice sprawling landmass with a number of strategic bottlenecks.
Vikings are fine by me - never played them. And Demi-god? <gasp!> Let's do it! :D

That's 3 I know for sure at Demi-God... in fact, I think Oblivion would refuse to play at any other level.;) How about you other gents?

COme on, you gotta give us SOME kind of a turn log!;)

DGIT 4: Demi God.
Tribe: Viks
Land Mass: Archepeligo.

The turns were surprisingly unevetful. I took two cities, but most of the land came from expanding cultural borders. I also plopped down 2 settlers in open areas. We did discover Magnetism as well. At lleast I got to use the elephant army, however it didn't fare to well in its battles losing a lot of HP. Once I saw I was going to get the win, I started automating workers and just built whatever popped up on the screen. The game almost played itself.

As for next game, the above terms are acceptable to me.

:goodjob:
I'm game for DG as Viks.
Gonna be a bit hard for me to get used to playing the standard game, I've played nothing but mods for the last two months... =\

Blas, I'm sure it will all come back in a flash. If not it will make for some interesting turns! ;) Which mods are you playing? I see you list Rhye's. How's that one working out? Does it make for an interesting game? Just curious. I've been checking out mods and actually looking at the AU mod over at apolyton. Some interesting changes to unit strenghts, wonders, etc to make the game a bit tougher and to make the AI play a bit better. No extreme changes though (new units, buildings etc) so it can be used just based off a sav file without the need to install the mod. I haven't had a chance to try it out first hand though.

Anyways, I think we have enough votes. Let's get this one started. Sandrock, want to do the honors again? (post the save that is) Who wants to start it off?

Rhye's is great, it's so well done I really don't think I'll ever go back to just playing random games on standard rules... But one problem is that the expensive settlers in Rhye's made me completely lose my ability to rush for territory early on (as in Rhye's I usually wait a short while, build a city or four, and then either start conquering or exploring.)
But seeing as this is a SG it probably won't hurt us much that I don't expand well early, because just ten turns aren't enough to reflect my deficiency.

I'll start it off again I guess. If someone would rather do it, PLEASE speak up, as I don't really wanna do it, just letting ya know I'm willing. Honestly, since I've never even opened up a Demi-God game before, besides GOTM and MODs, that Oblivion should set us up... (At least this way, he won't start another war, for at least 1000 years.:p)
