Some top notch professions require diaper usage. Long Range Intercontinental Bomber runs, Astronauts (lift off, space walk, landing), Nascar drivers, etc. So I was wondering would you wear a diaper. Assuming that it's not necessary for reasons like you have no bowel control. If you would wear a diaper what would it take to get you to do it?

wiki diaper is weak on quality and quantity of diaper information.

Well, I almost considered wearing a diaper when my current bad health was much worse - this was when I still had my giant infection in me which made walking to the restroom very painful, so having a diaper would've helped in cases when I wouldn't have been able to go to the restroom quickly enough, especially in the couple of days or so before I went to the hospital when I couldn't even get out of bed.

In any case I never really had much an opportunity to test it out, after I left the hospital I could pretty much go to the restroom fine so now I wouldn't need one.

Wait, we need a Master thread for diapers? Like there was going to be a lot of disconnected commentary on various other threads about this matter, and so we needed a centralized location for all of our diaper talk?

Exactly that was my concern as well.

Before anyone else post it here's the latest diaper news. A digital diaper that uses a phone app to notify you about the health of your baby.

There was a crazed astronaut that was part of a love triangle a few years back. She put on a diaper to drive half way across the country and assault her sexual adversary as she came out of an airport. It was bizarre.

We primarily use cloth diapers with our kid. It's cheap and easy. We've also been bringing her to the toilet since she was about 2 months old, it's rare that we ever have to clean a messy diaper.

If wearing a diaper was recommended for going to orbit then I would not hesitate. But that's about the only non-medical situation I could imagine myself agreeing to. I'm not OK with the adult play aspect. Gross.

I would have thought that pro racing car drivers would go beforehand and have such great health that they wouldn't need a diaper and know how to plan the race day so they didn't need one. But considering they could just be NASCAR drivers, I would need one too. ;)

I hadn't considered that long range bomber pilots would need diapers, isn't there a small bathroom and rest area on a B-2?

I'll be uploaded before I wear a diaper.

Here's that story. A lot of people thought it was weird but I saw the story as more about planning ahead and determination to accomplish your goal.

The thing that bugs me a bout cloth diapers is the precleaning. Usually women will rinse them out in a toilet or something before washing the diapers in a load. Disposable diapers are a must on vacations, with relatives or a baby sitter. After a sitter trys to flush a cloth diaper down the toilet because she didn't want to clean it you make sure baby sitters have disposable diapers to use.

They have to deal with a longer time than just the race. They are suited up and waiting in the car for a while. Plus a 500 hp vibrator shaking your bladder at 180 mph can take a toll. You don't want to be in the winners circle between two beautiful blondes squeezing your legs together.

Edit: ANd it's very hot in the cars. No AC. So to stay hydrated and focused they have to drink plenty of water.

No potty. Some long range bomber missions can last 12 or 15 hours with multiple refuels. In a 500million dollar stealth bomber there's is very little extra room. In fact there vary size requirements and restrictions for pilots. I forget the number but I think you have to be at least 5'8". With the extra G's you still have to be able to reach the controls. They don't build bombers for people they make people fit into the bombers.

I thought modern B-2 bombers had a small rest area where one pilot at a time could sleep while on 24-hour missions. Figured they'd stick a toilet in there.

I stand corrected the B-2 does have a 'toilet'. No excuses I was just wrong. Thanks for the input.
