Did Koreans invent the first gunpowder weapons?

Korea was better at metallurgy at that time, so they made better firearm and printing press. However, Mongols borrowed those from China, and brought them to the West and Middle East.

If you have read Japanese and Chines Wikipedia, you will find out that beside gunpowder, the Koreans claimed a variety of things and inventions from other countries, mostly China and Japan.

That list starts off amusing, but near the end it starts to devolve into insane troll logic. The Koreans invented the English people? What? "80% Land of China"? What does that even mean? They're earth-benders?

I meant that they declared that over 80 percent of China's land area is under the dominance of the 'glorious' Korea, that's why they could built the Great Wall.

They don't advent the English, they said that the origin of English people is from Korea, perhaps I will describe it more straight-forward, the British Isles are full of Korean immigrants.

I should explain more futher, "Genghis Khan" in the list is not a new electronic product that made in Seoul, but a Mongol leader, who 'was a decendant of the mighty Koreans'. The Koreans didn't invent East Europe, North Africa and Alaska. Their empire expanded throughout the Bering Sea and reach North America, the Muslim's caliphates were their vassals, and the Chinese lived on the edge of the world.:goodjob:

I hope that my explanations can help solving your doubts (the worst writing ever written in English).:(

Well... there are some crazy claims out there...

But this one takes the cake.

Who would've thought the largest empire in history existed before the domestication of the horse and the existence of roads?

You can't beat a 4,000 year old empire.

The Koreans built the pyramids! EDIT: 1000 years before they were actually built, that's how awesome they are, and how fail I am

10 bucks says the Koreans were the first to make it to America.

Naw, they colonized the moon and used the Americas as target practice for their long-range gunpowder missiles.

Also Thomas Jefferson was totally a Korean spy.

Also, I think we can say the Koreans are on the money when they say they invented Kumdo, also known as "Korean Fencing."

Just like how the Hawaiians invented Hawaiian shirts and how the French invented french fries, amirite

Except Kumdo is pretty much defined as "Fencing of Korean Origin." So it's more like...I dunno Dutch Kickboxing. If you want to take the argument that it's essentially the same art as Kendo, then you gotta admit they have a point about the invention of Sumo, which is Ssireum with Shinto Trappings, and a slightly different way of tying your belt.

I know almost nothing about kumdo, and wouldn't presume to disagree; I was just saying that if you want to say that it really is Korean, you have to show that it...um...really is Korean (not exhaustively or anything), instead of just saying "it's also called Korean fencing".

Oh, yeah, that was kind of a shitpost on my part.

It should be noted that, even in their 4000 year old empire, they couldn't conquer Scotland !

(from tails' link)
"This map shows how various places around the world were once Korean. One theory explains for example that the English Essex county is actually a deformation of Ui-San itself a deformation of Woo-San, the name of an old Korean kingdom. "
