Direct Democracy in Action! Or Inaction! A.K.A.: 9000+ monkeys with typewriters...

I think they used Democracy there, which makes it somewhat less impressive, but still, I think this whole thing has just been freaking amazing. I cannot believe they managed to get to the Power Plant and get Zapdos without wasting the Master Ball on some Voltorb on the way.

Question is, did they blow it on Zapdos itself? I could never get any of the birds without a master ball.

Apparently there is a guy named Destiny (and his horde of followers) who are actively trying to sabotage the entire game and release most of the pokemons. They are like Hitlers of our time man.

I like the slider, although no-one else seems to. It is fun to track the level of despair in the chat by watching the slider inch towards democracy.

I don't imagine Steven holds most the TPP stream viewers (eh, players) in that high of a regard.

Victory! Praise the Helix!

Despite all the sabotage attempts, self-sabotage through idiocy, accidentally released pokémon, underleveled critters, and whatnot, at approximatively 4:10 AM Eastern Standard Time, with around 90 000 viewers present, Blue's last pokémon fainted. Battery, All Terrain Venomoth, Bird Jesus, King Fonz, LORD HELIX, and Air Jordan have officially been entered into the Hall of Fame.

Twitch Plays Pokemon has officially beaten Pokemon Red.

I'm shocked it actually worked. Did they run through the final battle on democracy or anarchy?

What I can find seem to indicate it was anarchy.

EDIT: apparently the only time democracy was used in the Elite Four (in all their many attempts) was to switch Zapdos to the front row of the team prior to going in.

start9 !!!

Here's the final battle!

I'm honestly impressed, I thought the Elite Four would have given them more problems than it did, but Zapdos really did carry the hell out of them

My favorite part is still the first time they beat Lance...ATV beat Dragonite because the AI kept spamming Barrier and Agility, two Psychic-type moves, because it saw Psychic as super-effective against Venomoth, so Venomoth just killed it slowly with Poisonpowder

I'm honestly wishing now that I'd played this game at some point in my life, or bought the toys or watched the cartoons or -something- now so I'd have a clue what has been going on all this time. I've seen the references here and on imgur and have been totally lost.

All you need to know is:

1)Praise Helix
2)Start9
3)Eevee is the evil minion of the Dome
4)Red! This isn't the time to use that!

3)Eevee is the evil minion of the Dome

That information is no longer accurate. (Largely because Eevee couldn'T be blamed for Bloody Sunday, or a plethora of other release incidents, so the mob's view on Eevee has changed to a more neutral-to-positive view.

Watched through the final battle, the amount of sabotage was still palpable.

Aaaaand here we go again. They're tackling Crystal now.

It's hard to sabotage the actual battle, given how the inputs are extremely delayed.

The actual sabotage attempts occurred between battles, when people tried to get Pokemon released via the PC or throw random items away.

I have an query! Who is Twitch? Is it a character or an actual player that's legendary in the pokemon community? Ditto some of the other names listed above: Zapdos, Barrier, etc.

Twitch is the streaming site the whole thing is hosted on.

Zapdos is a legendary pokemon that carried their asses through the elite four

Barrier is an attack

Is it shameful I remember WAAAAY too much from my childhood?

Twitch is a website where people livestream games for others to watch. www.twitch.tv

Zapdos is a Pokemon, a combined bird/electric type

Barrier is a move some pokemon can use.

This is Zapdos.
