Is it true that games with Direct X 10 look " alot better" on a 64 bit version of Vista over a 32 bit version?

I am building a pc and I am trying I really don't want to pay for a 64 bit version but, I don't wanna miss out either.

Highly doubted. Unless the game is written in 64 bit it wouldn't be able to take advatage of any niceties 64 bit would have.

Ignore this.

I would still go with 64 bit. It's not all that big right now but in the future it's going to overtake 32 bit for gaming at the least.:)

I've heard horror stories of hardware driver support for 64-bit. Make sure your hardware has 64-bit drivers for it before going for it. I too wanted to load Vista 64-bit but decided to not deal with it even though I had all new computer parts...

It's far improved now compared to a year ago when Vista launched. Nearly everything from the past couple years works fine in Vista 64-bit, as companies aren't able to use the MS "Certified for Vista" certification for hardware that doesn't support both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS.

Those horror stories were most likely from XP 64-bit edition, which did have pretty bad support..
