Strictly speaking, the Americans have decided to inflict american football on the rest of the world in the game, since the stadium building looks suspiciously like an american football field
They could have a basketball court as their unique building then, and the hockey players can be their unique unit instead - they could hit pucks at people to inflict damage .

The markings on the grass in the stadium look exactly like those for Association Football (What Europeans shorten to "Football" but Americans shorten to "Soccer") the only acceptation is the D just in front of the goal is a full ring rather then a cord shape.

Here's hoping the scenario included for the SE Asian civ isn't the Vietnam War...
Imagine Ho Chi Minh as the leader of Vietnam,
All you would need is America (in the game already), maybe China. And the other Indochinese countries can be city-states...

You do raise a good point... What big events happened in SEA that could result in a Scenario other then the Vietnam war? The only things I can think about are colonising the east indies but that might require the Netherlands (although you didn't need England/Britain in the Australia scenario). Other then that they might suggest that "Hawaii"/"Moai" are SEA and have another sea-fairing Scenario like in Civ5.

The fact that apparently you don't know about them doesn't mean they didn't exist. As I stated in my earlier post in this thread there were loads of wars between the SE Asian states themselves and also with China for that matter (and off course also the Vietnam/US war). I think both Vietnam and Khmer have the highest chances to be included in the SE Asia DLC.

It's a shame that schools in the UK don't really teach you anything about the world other then UK, France, Germany, Austria and USA in WW1 and WW2. Other then that you learn about the Battle of Hastings (1066) and that's it. You don't learn anything about the rest of the world; or even anything about our own British Empire. Everything I've learn't about history outside the British Empire is from Civ5 and Civ6, so I hope these scenarios and Civs are good to broaden my mind!

I never said they didn't exist; but History and Geography in UK schools are pathetic! (Just like the rest of our education system) But from my little knowledge pulled over from researching the Khmer, Siam and Angkor Wat thanks to Civ5 I think Khmer have the best chance.
I've heard a rumor about which SEA civ it is. I can't vouch for veracity; it's sixth hand information. but if it's true, you are all barking up the wrong tree.
And I am not going to spread it until I feel good that I am spreading solid info.
Besides Khmer or Dai Viet/Vietnam, I'd be happy with Ayutthaya/Thailand, Majapahit/Indonesia, and/or (long shot)some other leader for India (Asoka or Babur would be my favorites).
EDIT: Conflated Khmer with Vietnam and not the same country :|

Indonesia is the biggest, most populated SEA country with the highest GDP. I wouldn't be surprised if it's that. Besides it happens to be where I live these days

Yeah, I have been sitting on this for a few days and it's eating me up. I feel bad for being shady about it. But I really don't want to treat this like it's a real thing until I find out for sure.
