DMI VII - Team Vanilla

We lost some experienced cossacks to good odds, and Louis was a pain in the arse, but at least Kublai is out of the picture. I also delivered some of the hurt to Louis.

Several of our troops are on massive go-to orders, so I apologize for that. I was under the impression that the continent stretched around the globe, and had moved many troops towards the Mongolian side of the continent. Oops!

Here is the current situation (we're almost there):

Izzy is backwards enough for us to wipe her off the eastern side of the continent. I would declare war once our troops are in position. I would also turn off research and work the culture slider, as WW is becoming painful. Plus, it will help with the border pops. There are a lot of spaces that can be filled in, so maybe we can train a couple of settlers for those.

Nice work Kodii. Conroe is UP!

Agree on declaring on Izzy once we are into position, we can divert some troops from Louis to her western holdings as well.

Good point on the culture slider, a few border pops and cities coming out of revolt and we'll be pretty close. Its probably worth just whipping a longbow out of Louis' ex cities and sticking them on building culture (unless we can get quick Cossacks).

Roster:

Ozbenno
Ralph_Jackson
Kodii
Conroe - UP
Mighty Dwaarf - On Deck
stuge

An option instead of the "long walk" for our experienced troops (after the Khan front and rolling over Isabella's cities on that side of the continent) is a couple of whipped in Galleons to ferry them over to the other side

Now you should of course realise that I can't go a whole game without exercising my shipbuilding muscles.

Must admit things are looking good and just overwhelming force should go through Louis and Isabella getting us close to domination. I would start some combat settlers as any gaps should be filled and pretty soon it will be quicker to Raze and resettle than come out of resistance and get a border pop. Definitely no need to research anything any more. (Is that Barb city still there NW of our capital as we might as well ahve its tiles too.)

I hope we win soon so we can have some trash talking fun in the other teams threads!!

Got it for tomorrow night.

I haven't looked at the save, yet ... but would we get any mileage out of revolting to free speech? Or whichever civic that gives double culture; I think it is free speech ...

Im going to be away this weekend at the parents so stuge should go before me I'll be able to take it after that.
Sorry for the delay, folks, but I was unable to get the turns played last night. The missus decided to put me to work last night. I too will be out this weekend. And with MD swapping with Stuge, it would probably be better if I took the skip. Sorry for the late notice.

Stuge, it looks like you're up!

I revolted to free speech and, just for kicks, mercantilism. I played a couple turns extra to compensate for the anarchy turns, and I wanted to capture Rheims.

Completely forgot to declare on Isabella. Pushovers seldom get any scarier, though.

There's a small fleet with elite cossacks on board just south of Karakorum. Use them as you please.

We're under 7% shy of domination.

Keep on romping.

Congrats guys, you really showed how to play this one militarily. We of Team Warlords struggle somewhat now, so I guess we know who will finish fastest. Excellent execution !

Yup, not to speak about the BtS team
:goodjob: everyone!

Played 10 we are 2-3 turns off dom limit, shall I just play through or leave the honour for next in line???
I would play it to the end. No use in passing it off now!

I agree with Kodii ... go ahead and wrap it up, Mighty!
