Made a few troops deploymen changes, basically moving extra units in our inner core cities to those even-inner core that sports longbow. These longbows should be moved to the front. We are in need of them to follow the stacks.
I don't think we have a chance in liberalism, as Greeks already have gunpowder (too). While we don't even have Philosophy. Let's see how things turn out.
The greeks send in their suicide troops. Resulting in a GG, which is promptly merged to the chariot that is featured in the inset of the screenie below -- he will be our 2nd supermedic. I think we need one more (i.e. total of 3) with the plan of a southern expedition.
As if that is not enough, Cyrus must flashed his settler only to be escorted by a lone knight near our border. He is tempting me ... as if daring me to take him on.
Well, Mr Cyrus of Greece, you touted with the wrong person. If that is what you want, that's what you will get.
Killed his phant and enslaved his settler, and since that put our troops one tile away from his Christian Holy City, well, it naturally leads to a full invasion of Greece.
Meanwhile, Cyrus learnt liberalism.

hmmm ... just in time for the city of Thapsus to be liberated.
Our own scientists haven't been slacking either, in rapid succession, we learnt Monotheism and Theology, and we are ready for a Golden Age fuelled revolt.
Wait ... something is not right. Organized Religion???
That's right, on second thought, I decided to go for OR first. Quite a few cities are doing infrastructure builds, so might as well make full use of the golden age and revolt twice -- first to OR where most cities would switch to infrastructure builds, then finally, when the GAge is about to end, switch to theocracy.
End turns, we siwtched back to theocracy at the last turn of the GAge, and we got a scientist which I am unsure what to do. Settling him or building the academy seems the best way, since we have no use for Philosophy now that Liberalism is already out of the quest. Alternatively, we can use him with the GProphet to trigger another golden age (once we get rilfing, which is clearly what I was going after, with Printing Press -> Replaceable Parts).
Speaking of the GProphet, we own the Christian Holy City, and is in reach for a Islam Holy City as well.
However, I am not sure if we should be burning him for a shrine -- since we are in theocracy which does not allow for a non-state spread. So, getting a holy shrine seems rather pointless in the mid-term.
Oh, One More Thing (tm), our forces had also started the Southern Campaign:
