Do racists in America need their own safe space?

Based on what I've witnessed online as well as in person, many racist Americans (who also enjoy football) need their safe space as they can't stand seeing men kneeling for the national anthem in the name of racial equality (and police brutality) which even sometimes affects white people too.

As a result, I suggest we create a safe space for such racist people and reactionaries during the national anthem. I recommend giving them coloring books of bibles, guns, fishing, monster trucks, and (fake) "pro wrestling".

They have gotten triggered time and time again as a result of this. They even have the option of walking out of the room or changing the channel as soon as the anthem starts, though I guess that didn't occur to them either. Perhaps we could inform them of these possibilities.

TV should not be allowed to show footage of the National Anthem as seeing people kneeling might cause some patriotic people to commit suicide.

But why do they kneel anyway? Isn't that a gesture of submission?

In the US, and partially in Canada, the anthem requires standing up. More conservative areas require a hand over the heart as well.

Anything that strays from that model is considered disrespectful in the eyes of those who believe in dogmatic patriotism. Kneeling is more of a deliberate act than remaining sitting is.

Isn't America, and specifically the Republican Party, a safe space for racists?

They are all fleeing to colledge football, so they can spew anti PC stuff, and call Liberals snow flakes in peace
Thent they can go back to into Trumpland with american flags and the God emperor can tell no lies

Honestly though, its just political threatre this will soon be forgotten, when Trump dose something even more dumb like pick a fight with gold star families or gets four people killed in Africa.

Really, what they need is their own separate football league.

And I know just the guy who could run it for them.

This is a bad idea. The second Stargate is buried there. They'll start populating other worlds.
Not to mention they'll probably try to supply the Eurondans with heavy water....

.

The US Flag Code sets out proper conduct vis-a-vis the flag. No where is standing for the anthem mentioned.

I mean, that's great and all, but real life is different than what's written in the Flag Code.

Well, you said the anthem "requires," so how does this "requirement" work in real life? I've been to a few sporting events in my time and I don't remember standing for the anthem. In fact I likely made a point of not standing. And nothing happened to me. So I can only conclude that in real life there is no such "requirement".

I think the only place the flag code is enforceable is in the military. I'm not sure about federal buildings. If were to walk into a courthouse or something and tear down the flag and stomp on it, you could probably be busted for vandalism. If you brought your own flag and set it on fire, the setting of a fire inside a public building would probably violate some health & safety ordinance.

They should walk out on the anthem because others 'disrespect' it?

I mean, they could always shut the TV off and play an MP3 of it or something.

Honestly? Monster-Truck loving Americans are the worst "reactionaries" & "racists" you can imagine? Obviously, you are living a very sheltered & protected life.
