I wasn't consistently online until 2004 and my first forum was an RPG forum. How I ended up here was by asking a strategy-related question about Civ II. Someone mentioned CFC and that I could find my answer here. So I registered and spent my first few years hanging out in the Civ forums. Then I wandered down to Off-Topic and stayed. Though I still meander back to Civ II on occasion. I'm happy to share my favorite Test of Time strategies.

@dusters: Thank you! :hug:

Heh was joking.

My first forum was 2001 but it's long dead.

I sometimes use my CFC addiction as a cure for my Civ addiction, like driving out one nail with another.

This is a pattern. Forum is definitely dead on weekends.
Holiday weekends, actually, at least when it's a long weekend in either the U.S. or Canada.

I'll admit to spending more time on FB these days, due to the insane political situation right now.

It is the place where I hang out in cyberspace - like a favorite bar, to discuss games and international politics, there were others like it before, but I would certainly miss it, if it went down.

It's a habit, not an addiction :)
