Do You Cry?

Even though I don't respect your opinions, I do respect you for saying exactly what you believe ... most of the other right wing people here are too afraid to do so.

I feel your post is full of ignorance, but I need to call out this one as especially repugnant. Women are not baby factories.

Never claimed they were. Men don't get pregnant though and you yourself have said you were happy you didn't.

It's the main reason my mother worried more about my sister than me.

Of course a women should have control over her body, consent with thing like sex, and society could help out with laws and money.

IIRC Zardnaar is on record as saying he'll "let" transpeople "believe what they want." So he recognizes their existence in as much he recognizes the existence of bugs: a complete inconvenience he's reluctant to accept but would rather do without. Not sure that's a big win on his end, or a position that should be touted as a silver lining in a discussion about his "extreme left" resistances.

Context. I'll refer to trans people however they want. I'll also vote to allow the LBGT community to get married and for protection s in law to protect them against violence.

I don't agree with peoplee claiming things like there are 13 genders or whatever. There's a lot of liberal intolerance towards divergent views. Forcing social change needs to be organic, force it and bad things tend to happen.

In a Democracy though you need numbers to win and there's not enough if them. People don't like being insulted left, right, male female etc. They also don't like being told what to think. That's just common sense.

Another thing is people from XYZ country are really going to love it if foreigners come along and tell them everything that's wrong with their country and how they should live.

Exceptions confirm rules.

Sort of. Might be the American in me, but no particular reason to doubt the 1% doing their thing, and pretty good reason for them to tell me to eff off if I doubt them at their word. Even if I'm "disgusting" when I dare mention them, or whatever the earlier hot take was. Who cares? The debate is over what is owed, and who is harmed, everything else is kinda sorta bullhonkey. There's plenty of that to go around with the actual debate, people of all sorts be whack.

He used to "bullseye womp rats", ie, kill animals for fun which is a pretty big red flag

Yeah, forgot about that line. Even more evidence Luke wasn't a well-adjusted individual.

Don't you use guns to hunt?

I eat what I kill. The way Luke made it sound, he just does it for fun. He also did it in his T-16 which was an aircraft. I don't know of many hunters who hunt by doing strafing runs on animals.

You don't deal with vermin as vermin.

Lol I don't believe in killing stuff you're not going to eat. Pest control of introduced species is an exception.

The cats take care of rodents, insects get put outside I don't use poison or anything.

Well one deals with rodents, not sure if the other one knows what they are.

If this is some kind of slighting references to my recent posts, I would just say that I'm more trying to simply identify than to explain at this stage. I am not trying to gotcha you, I would like to know if you have an answer to the question you asked.

I brought up porn and rap because I think both are yugely important in molding people's thinking about gender and what's expected of them in romantic relationships or just sexual encounters. A disturbingly large number of women report having their male sexual partners do something they did not like and that the men got the idea from porn, for example. And I'm not one of those "rap musicians invented misogyny in 1993" people but FFS the images of women in mainstream rap - which has become a massively important pillar of mainstream American youth culture - are terribly degrading and absolutely teach men very bad things about how to treat them etc.

So I just...I dunno. I kinda do get where you're coming from but at the same time I just don't think that positive male role models in the "feminist" sense are really the "prevailing winds" of our culture right now. I think we are in a process of change, hopefully in that direction, but we are not there yet.
It took me a few minutes to realize that sounded rude, but that's why I edited my post.

I kinda agree with you on both counts, but I wouldn't say culture or society is why men watch so much porn and screw up their sexual expectations. Society created the internet and puberty does the rest. I think the problem is very much despite "society", not because of it. I feel like if my grandparents' church and progressives are in strong agreement about something, it's safe to say their views represent society's overall attitude. But I agree this is a big problem.

I'm not very confident about the effects of rap and would guess they're smaller than commonly supposed. Regardless, I think you're kinda right.

Cats cause a lot of collateral damage. Poison, use it every now and then, also causes collateral damage. If it's a problem that can be taken care of with direct shooting, that's the solution. It's gross and kind of dirty, but may as well at least be a little bit ok with being good at it instead of bad at it. It's a different lifestyle, way back when in college the more urban friends would occasionally come visit for breaks and they usually were interested in the varmiting chores. Like, there's guns and you get to kill something for real real, right? None of them wanted a second round. It isn't sexy, and yes you have to go finish it off after you mortally wounded it. But, eventually, you have to not hate yourself for it, and then you can express some pride in marksmanship.

Even the strongest men in the world are getting emotional sometimes. Respect to Poirier, he was great yesterday but not great enough.

And watch a "badass man" mentality from Caucasus guys in the second part of the video. They won this time, but no matter the result I can hardly imagine anyone of them crying on press-conference.

The head of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) S Kivan was extremely upset when their lander crashed the other day. Prime Minister Modi was in attendance in mission control and consoled him in his grief in a touching moment that has been widely publicized. Modi then made some very touching comments about how proud he was of the rocket scientists who reached for glory but fell a bit short.

luke is the knight to be , men do not cry , like especially in the 1970s when there's this reaction against hippiism if that's a word and he is so given to "emotions" how he is going to fight the Dark Side over Endor ?

and uh , my apologies but things have to happen , it's not anti-Indianism on its own .

I guess I would view the condition of being fertile and impregnable to be both exclusively female outside of science fiction

Well I'm sure men can be fertile too. As for "impregnable"...

[Checks the dictionary....]
Impregnable doesn't mean ability to get pregnant :)

I think it got something to do with soldiers penetrating fortresess
