Do you lick the bag?

When you make microwave popcorn do you lick the salty buttery residue left on the bag

I'm more prone to scraping my fingernails (outside, not inside, eww) in the bag and then licking it off my fingers.

Hmm...tough one. Should this be in "Ask a most pointless question" thread?

No, it's completely nonpointless. I'm curious as to the extent which other people do this.

It never has even crossed my mind to do so.

There are people who actually do this? Amazing. By the way, I saw the title, was lured on in by thoughts of various degrees of bad and unsavory scenarios only to find out that it's about popcorn.

I make my popcorn in a pot on my stove.

But I probably wouldn't if I used microwave popcorn.

We can't go there 7ronin.....

I'm intrigued by the idea of bagged popcorn. Or microwaved popcorn, for that matter. I make popcorn in a popcorn making machine. And I don't lick that out.

Last time I looked at microwave popcorn, all of the brands had over the daily recommended transfats. And since transfats are one of those foods that can cause permanent injury, I avoid them.

I scrap the icecream from the ice-cream lid, though. And I lick the tomato paste from the lid of the tomato paste can.

I find microwave popcorn to be not as good as 'popcorn popper' popcorn, so I'll go with the redacted joke.

Licking it is an extremely inefficient means of obtaining butter and salt residue. I scrape it with my (clean) fingernails.

And I lick the tomato paste from the lid of the tomato paste can.

Sounds like a good way to slice your tongue.
