I only play stratrgy games like Civ4, Sim City and Paradox's games. So I don't own any consoles.

That's pretty much me recently. I've played a friend's Wii, but I can't see owning the system for play on a regular basis.

I think the last gaming console I owned and played was a Playstation--I really liked FFT and a few other games on that console.

I own ps3, it has some uses, but recently I realized that it didn't really give me anything in the long run. I only have CoD:WaW, MW2 and BC2 on my shelf right now. The paradox is that I'm not a shooter freak at all, but there where no games worth keeping. I have these games only because they provide some replayability with multiplayer. I don't like games that you complete once and that's it. They are just not worth the money for me. Why people buy a game that lasts 3-6 hours is beyond me. I like games that last long and you can play over and over again. There is nothing even close to that on consoles. And unfortunately game developers don't even try to do that anymore even on PC. As hard as it is for me to admit, there is no interesting enough games for me on ps3 that I would be bothered spending money on...

You could get Oblivion.

I'm playing Morrowind on PC now though, it's better.

I played Oblivion to death (by that I mean that I soaked every juice out of it) already and waiting for something like oblivion to come out for some time now... but nope, nothing. There was this Dragon Age Origins which was very interesting but again, once you played through with mage, you've seen everything and you won't play it again. The problem is again in that it's heavily story based, you can't do anything except progressing through story, which inevitably end quite soon and the game's over.
Not to mention that I was forced to decisions that involved a much killing as possible to get that extra XP that is limited in this game.
In Oblivion I could play for half a day and still not completing any quests, just simply walking around doing stuff and leveling up. I really miss that...
Right now all I play is CIV4 of course and those fps shooters that I'm sick and tired of. Which are ALWAYS the same, you're American fighting Russians... And I'm sick and tired of shooting Russians, who can NEVER speak Russian by the way. I am yet to see a game where Russians are not the enemy.

Well get Morrowind for your PC then if you haven't tried it. Combat isn't as good as in Oblivion but there's more to do. I think it also runs on the 360 as well if you can find the XBox version (which is full of bugs though).

EDIT: Oh I see you have a PS3. Well, sorry to hear that ;)

I wouldn't get it xbox or ps3 if that was possible. If I were to get it I would get it on PC where I can use mods, so there is nothing to feel sorry for ;) I never tried morrowind, is it worth it in our time?

Yeah the graphics are a bit clunky but the game is excellent.

I downloaded my Game of the Year Edition off steam and you have to fiddle with some files to use mods I think. I haven't bothered with that yet. You also don't get the construction set with the steam version.

There's a graphics extender mod

Link to video.

There's loads of videos on youtube showing the graphics without any mods.

I own a 360 and a Wii. I do not play the Wii very much these days, the 360 a little for pro evolution soccer, and I recently enjoyed Alan Wake...

I own a Wii which I don't play too much, and a regular NES and a Gamegear that I haven't touched in ages.

We have a PS3/Wii/260 and the 360 is the best one IMHO. Also have PS2/Xbox/Gamecube/PS1/Dreamcast/Megadrive/MegaCD/NES/Sega Master system/Atari Lynx/Gameboy Advance/DS/PSP. I think thats most of them.

The 360's the best if you like to pay money for every conceivable thing related to the device. Want to play online? $100 for a wireless adapter and an additional large sum of money for an Xbox Live account.

What's that? A PS3 comes with Wi-fi built in? And PlayStation Network is free? And it has Blu-ray? And it's the same price?!!??

But the 360 has more games and the online play is better and it has more exclusive content:P You don't need a wireless adapter on playing online you want to be wired anyway. Only the Xboxlive account needs $$$ to play and theres more players on there as well and its faster than PSN. I have both but what do I know?

But the 360 has more games
[citation needed] And the Wii has far more games than either, but that doesn't mean it's any good.

and the online play is better
How so?

and it has more exclusive content:P

Wired connections may be faster, but they're a hassle to set up, not to mention having a huge wire going from the room to wherever your router is is extremely annoying.

205 360 games with scores of 80%+

170 for the PS3

The rest you really have to try out yourself. Do you have both consoles and have used mboth online to compare the 2?
