Do you want to have and raise children at some point in your life?

Someday. I want descendent's that will eventually war and conquer the world! :mwaha:

I might wanna raise a den of about 2-3 lil' badasses someday...

...in the somewhat distant future. Gimme about a decade and then we'll talk.

yup, definately.
I'm crap with young children right now, to the point where it terrifies me that I might some day be responsible for one.

But then a slightly crazy friend of mine is up the duff at the minute, ats its changing her into a person that can deal with a baby. So i'm not worried any more, when the time comes I'll know what to do.

As for the time??? When it happens, it happens. But ideally 25-30, once I've had a chance at a bit of a career. Because I am NOT going to be a working mum.

If I should one day happen to get married, I would assume that children would be a part of that. They wouldn't even have to carry my genes - that would be my first option, but not absolutely necessary, and my siblings are all working overtime to ensure that people with at least 25% of my genes (as opposed to the 50% I would get with my own) are running around in the world.

Maybe... I haven't really decided... Both of my brothers have disabilities and so if there is some genetic component of that, and my kids have issues, I don't think I'd be able to handle it.

I think I'd make a great dad when my kids were growing up. I want nothing to do with poop, potty training, and other gross things. I want to be a father starting at 3-4 years old.

There's that option too. Plus doesn't it get harder for kids to be adopted as they get older? You'd be filling a void in the system too.

I want kids! While I do hate other people children from time to time, I want children! I want 3! I want them all before im 35!

No.
1. My genes are faulty
2. Although they say that in the West there aren't enough children born in the East and South there is far more than the West could ever take, and immigration could solve the problems
3. Every new person in the West causes relatively huge ecological damage over their lifetime
4. I don't want her to get stretch marks, overly big breasts or other typical symptoms of having got children
5. I don't want to burden her with children as I wouldn't have the patience to raise them well and take care of them
6. I don't want her to suffer from pregnancy and giving birth
7. I don't want her (nor me either) to get a 18-year ball and chain in way of everything we would want to do together
8. I don't want her to have to worry about our rebellious teenage morons drinking around
9. I don't want to use all my money to buy toys and stuff for spoiled brats
10. I don't want sleepless nights because of crying babies all over

I still think the procreations outweigh the cons

At least 1... maybe more depending on who I end up marrying.

If I were to have kids, I'd them Dylan if it was a boy, and Kimberly if it were a girl.

Of course if I have two of the same gender, I'm screwed on the name front.

I'm mostly indifferent, but I think I'm going to have to.

My brother is a scumbag, and I don't think he's gonna have kids. So it's gonna fall on me to continue the bloodline. I guess I'm gonna have to make babies until I get a boy.

It's seriously gonna cramp my style.

I´ve never been fond of children. They are just noisy, childish and annoying and add too much stress and responsibility... :dubious:

I guess this proves that Darwin was wrong. How come there are humans that doesn´t want to spread their genes? :p

That doesn't disprove Darwin - all he said is that organisms that seek to spread their genes will end up spreading their genes. That doesn't mean there won't be organisms that don't (or can't).

Yes, but how many animals would refuse to procreate? Of course, they don´t really have much choice with no contraceptions and all, but if you don´t have a desire to procreate, isn´t that kind of weird?
