Do you want to have and raise children at some point in your life?

I'm pretty sure not.

But I would get VERY depressed in later life if I didn't have children to outlive me and the take advantage of the fabulous genes, wealth, upbringing I would give them.

Being a Rogerson means something.

99.9% Certain not yet.

But I have a very strong feeling of purpose, of my family. Of what I can do on this planet.

Raising awesome kids is one VERY important thing to me.

I value being in my family, and what it stands for. Having kids and raising them well will preserve that.

2 kids, same gender. I will make them play sports and exploit their sibling rivalry to make my parenting easier, assuring both of them that they are the favorite but that "Daddy doesn't like failures" :)

No offence Azale, but I never put you in the "older" posters category!

#edit ~ re-read makes me realse your future planning...

Absolutely. Who wouldn't want to pass on perfection :p. Besides, I'll need someone to look after me when I hit senility.

I have three kids. 21, 18 and 15. My two oldest are moving out next month (allegedly - we will see if they actually do) into a town house with two more of their friends.

I cant wait.

So my answer to this thread is 'been there and done that'.

I'm surprised as many people said they weren't interested in having children (or rather, specifically preferred no). I definitely want children someday (should wait to be 26+ though).

I don't think so.

I want to have at least one son. So with my luck I'll have 15 daughters and one son.
