Doesn't Geography matter anymore ?

73% on my first go. Don't know why they expect me to know half of the micro-nations over there...

73% here, too...i really couldn't care less where moldova or san marino is.

EDIT: HA, i got 87% on my second try! :smug:

Let's see I got 39/45 (87%) with an average error of 40 miles

Most of them were just putting them a bit off in proportion, but I admit that I only knew that Slovenia was somewhere between Italy and Greece and that I had no idea where Moldova was (other then somewhere in Eastern Europe).

So you don't mind that you lost all the southern states to Mexico, and all you get in return is Alberta and Saskatchewan?
I'll take that trade any day. Addition by subtraction, plus Alberta has lots of oil.

Moldova is just a former Soviet Republic. It's about Russian speaking Transdyenstria (well, the region at the border of the Dnyestr river on the east), and the Romanian speaking Upper Bessarabia (The Lower Bessarabia belonging to Ukraine).

There has been an agreement between Russia and Romania about a plan to divide the country in two. Upper Bessarabia would join Romania and Transdnyestria would join the Russian Federation. That would make of Transdnyestria a 2nd Russian enclave after the one of Kaliningrad, between Lithuania and Poland. Kaliningrad being the former Königsberg (birthplace of Kant) in former Eastern Prussia.

i always liked workings with maps

Score = 45/45
% correct = 100
Aug. Error = 0 miles (huh?)
Time = 229 secs

Oh, you mean like CNN?

:lol:

Good to see that the USAmericans now think we're so rich ;)

There is one good thing about being a small country - at least they don't even bother to include you in most of the bad maps :)

Okay I'm fallible. :blush:

I got 98% (49 states on 50). I've missed Delaware at the beginning. Average error is about 10 miles. :cry:
Yeah but better than us on the European ones.

Are you ready for something really hard?

CNN seems to have lots of fun maps

91%. Got screwed by San marino, Moldavia on a blankmap, and other things.
88% on the US map. These tiny states in the Northeast are a pain in the... :)

The US map is easy, its like a jigsaw with the rivers following the borders. I was lucky to get the north eastern states late in the game

100% :D

The US map is hard i only got 37/50, well its not like its important too far away to matter

i am located in England

:crazyeye: I can't even conceive of that one. Some of those just can't be real.

i can only vouch that *i* didn't fake it.
was posted years ago in another forum.

Europe: 98% - I've placed Monaco a bit off, but the rest was correct

US: 68% - OK, I am an ignorant (and the borders are too damn straigt :mad: ). But hey, that's not the same! How many of you Americans can correctly place the German Bundesländer?

Good point, but hey, at least we went to the trouble of narrowing our continent down to three major countries, and we're presently working on consolidating the little ones on the bottom.

Actually, come to think of it, why can't we just place the EU? The German Bundesländer and French regions are simply equivalent to counties in US states. :lol:
