Double Your Pleasure

There was some debate over what to call the Early Submarine and we never cam eup with a satisfactory answer. The unit is meant to represent the turn of the century incarnation of the submarine, when it was first developing as an effective weapon. The U-Boat name always conjures up images of the WWII wolf packs and is clearly German in origin. We would need a more generic name than U-Boat and one that better represented the submarine's early stages of development.

If you won't call it the u-boat, how about changing the Early Sub to Submarine and changing the regular Submarine to Hunter Sub? Submersible sounds good too.

Poochie is american slang for dog. Pooch. Poochie. There was also a movie with Robin Williams in it called Death To Poochie. Saw only part of it, and I'm waiting for it to come back on to cable so I can see all of it.

Poochie, Smoochy. . . it was late when I wrote that. But when I came up with the title I was thinking of the movie. . . .

So the real answer should be: it's aplay on the title of the above mentioned movie. ;)

@moni:

Everything is included in version 1.50x, if you're playing with the PtW version :)

Just doubleclick the icon of it (located in ..\Scenarios\ )

If you try to open .bix file with civ3 editor it won't open, you need PTW editor for it

Currently, I don't think there are any bigger maps, but anyone is of course welcome to convert a map to DYP 1.50x - all you need to do is make a copy of the DYP 1.50x.bix, open it in the editor and then import the map from another BIX file.

great mod, i play it all the time, but why can i not upgrade units in some cities , when i can upgrade in others cities , size does not seem to make a diff. thanks BIG FISH

You need a Barracks (or Garrisson I think) to upgrade Ground Units, an Airport (I could be wrong) to upgrade Aircraft and a Naval Base to upgrade Naval Units.

Hi, me again from about 60 pages ago, boy this thread just grows and grows!!

Anyway i haven't been playing civ at all for about the last 4 months, i know shame on me but my computer crashed and everything so i decided to put civ back on and i wondered why i stopped playing it, i thought i might redownload this seeing this was the best mod and ive added an extra 14 civs like last time

i was just wondering why is camel set to strategic resource i cannot see anything that requires it

oh by the way its still is the best mod there is and im definatly getting the next one with C3C keep up the good work

Welcome back Curswine, don't worry, we hadn't forgotten you :D

I assume that you're not playing the PtW version, cause in that case you're right about the Camels. There will be units in version 1.00 (for regular Civ3) that require the Camels, we just added in the camel resource a bit prematurely :)

We're looking forward to the C3C version too - heck, we're even starting to consider working on it ... :crazyeye:

...just kidding - there will of course be a C3C version.
