It appears to me to resemble the Resident Evil trilogy.... or more recently the Residential Evil 5 game just released last Friday..... fortunately if this was the case, I know exactly how to beat them.
IC:
Sarge cannot believe the sudden change in support, during his time in the United States Army, he could always rely on heavy fire support, whether it be bombers, fighters, naval guns, or just a tank brigade, but he did not have that support here and Sarge is forced to consider other options of survival, including abandoning the objectives, even if for a while....
He turned to the squad, "In case you haven't realized, we are still in the open and vulnerable to attacks. Despite the last hour's attack which seemed to include some form of disease ridden people, which I can assume are the villagers. I believe we will be safer in the jungles."
"Also, I believe it is confirmed that Spetznaz is in operation here. So it could be possible that these operatives are infecting the local tribes with a virus for some kind of biological warfare? Possibly against the United States."
With that, Sarge immediately began to show signs of sadness, and thought of his family back home in Texas. After a brief moment, he recomposed himself.
"If this is the case, we must act quickly. And this also explains why the United States is interested, which also means they knew Spetznaz was operating here and did not inform us and helped us plan our mission with that in mind."
But first things first, let us regroup and head double time for the jungle and find us a good defensive position and discuss our plans.

OOC: I still believe it's more of a 28 Days Later, the Resident Evil 5 baddies are there because the have some sort of a bug that controls them, but in 28 DL it's a virus that turns them into feral animals with only killing others in their minds. That's more or less what happened in here, I think.
@Dread: how come Marcus wasn't injured by the attack of that woman?

Ruben grits his teeth at realizing that Rachel is gone. He casts a tense look at Marcus, then shakes his head. Clearly, this situation was going downhill fast.
"Alright. We can't leave Rachel behind. Sarge, lead the squad into the jungle. Niki, come with me. Rachel might need medical attention. We'll go back to the open field and look for her. Magus, stay with the main squad, take a look at Marcus's wounds."
He casts a quick look around at everyone.
"Nigel, Donald, come with us. We can't stay in contact by radio, 'cause our enemies may be listening in, but we'll meet again at Village D, tomorrow at noon. Until then, my group will also be hiding in the jungle. Sound good?"

Magus carefully examines Marcus' wounds. He grabs some peroxide from one of the medical packs and pours the entire bottle into each cut and break in Marcus' skin. Marcus jerks back and cries out.

Edited my post. Fire away. You have been mauled by a crazy woman; You will be covered in small cuts and grazes even if there is nothing serious which means you could be infected hence the peroxide.

OOC: I am not sure what that means but women to not normally savage fully-grown men like wild animals. So Magus would assume some kind of rabies-like disease has broken out, deliberate or not. He is a scientist and biologist. I believe I am acting IC.
