Dr.NES - The DOOM Project: The Sapphire of the Sea

Alright, Team Bravo, Ideally, we should lock down the lifts, so as to prevent anyone except ourselves from controlling them: Can Anyone do that? Dalino? Wilhelm/Bill? Locke? I also want the stairs trapped, with explosives (just enough to destroy the stairs, nothing else.)
Second to that, I would like someone to devise a way to block the door of the Medbay in an emergency.
Additionally, can Someone Hack into the security system: Cameras, the like?

While you are all doing that, I'm going to be running an inventory of the Medbay, see what we have here... That, and cleaning that muck off the ground there...

Hmm... actually, I'm going to see if any of this equipment still works, do an analysis of the blood on the ground, see if I can find anything.

Sarge:

1st question
"When did you lose the engines? Why haven't you called for help? Explain your situation as you understand it."

2nd question
"Captain Garry, what happened on this ship? Where is your crew? The passengers? As we landed on the deck it was empty. Do you have control over your crew? Can you contact any department on the ship?" If Captain Garry reaches for the radio, kindly tell him not to do anything.

"Captain Garry, as of this moment, I am in command of this ship. I must ask you to sit next to your crew until we are able to gain control over the Engine Room and get this ship out of danger. I ask for your cooperation in this matter. If necessary I may ask you to speak to your crew at a later time."

Sarge turns to the rest of the team, "There are no teams currently tasked with checking the engine room. Ignore my previous order to form Fox Team, I will attempt to raise other team leaders and determine the next course of action. In the meantime just establish defensive positions and protect Birch as he "hacks" into the system."

To all members:
Sarge then turned on his radio, "Can anyone hear me? I have the captain and 2 other members of his crew detained. The Bridge is now ours. In discussion with the captain, I have learned that the he has lost contact with the Engine room. Who is able to investigate? I also have Team Fox formed and ready to lend support to anyone who may need it. Over."

EDIT:
Another question I just remembered (thanks thomas) that I wanted to ask the captain, "Does this ship have a security system? If so can it be viewed from the Bridge?"

EDIT 2:
How is the crew member that ran into the stock of Jarkko's gun? Is anything broken? Does he need attending to?

@Sarge: this is Doc Mccoy. Team Bravo is Sitting tight in the Medbay. Saw nothing coming down, but... there's a large bloodstain, here. Ask the captain what he knows? Team Bravo is going to secure the medbay as a secure fallback base for the other teams.

Sarge:

1st question
"When did you lose the engines? Why haven't you called for help? Explain your situation as you understand it."

Captain Garry hesitates before answering; but then answers quickly, "The lower decks have been compromised. There are armed individuals in Engineering. They've taken many people down as hostages. They have guns. They are a threat."

He pauses again before continuing. "I can't call for help. This ship is the model for the rest of the world. It`s at the top of its class. It was given special privileges to travel to Antarctica. I can't tarnish the ship's luxurious image by admitting that there's a crisis on board. The ship and the company would be shut down."

"Captain Garry, what happened on this ship? Where is your crew? The passengers? As we landed on the deck it was empty. Do you have control over your crew? Can you contact any department on the ship?"

"The armed men have taken prisoners. I don't know how many. I don't know who. The bottom decks are compromised. Some passengers are prisoners, some are still in their rooms. I lost contact with my crew. I don't know who is safe or who is in danger."

Another question I just remembered (thanks thomas) that I wanted to ask the captain, "Does this ship have a security system? If so can it be viewed from the Bridge?"

The captain paused again. "Security systems are non existent," he continued. "There's nothing left of them."

@mod: I'm yelling through the radio to the captain:

What made the blood stain in the Medbay?

Technically he didn't ask the captain that yet, but I'll assume that he does. :)

The Captain replies, "Guns, probably. They have guns."

I wasn't asking sarge to ask, I was yelling at the captain through sarge's Radio :p

Ask sarge to ask: DO you know why the men with guns are here? who they are? who's paying them?

@Sarge: this is Doc Mccoy. Team Bravo is Sitting tight in the Medbay. Saw nothing coming down, but... there's a large bloodstain, here. Ask the captain what he knows? Team Bravo is going to secure the medbay as a secure fallback base for the other teams.

@Doc McCoy: Sarge here, the captain reports that the ship is compromised, armed terrorists have taken control of the engine room. He has no idea of the condition of his crew or the passengers of his ship. He thinks some are still in their rooms either oblivious to the danger or cowering. The bloodstain you discovered may be related to a firefight injury or something of sort. There are unfortunately no security systems according to the captain. I have Birch looking into it to validate his claims.

To rest of the Team: Sarge here. The captain has reported that the ship is compromised, armed terrorists have taken control of the engine room and the lower decks. We have no idea of the status of the ships crew, whether this is a mutiny or what. The passengers are also an uncertain variable, some may be in their rooms oblivious to the dangers or cowering in fear. Others may be prisoners and kept in the lower decks. Keep everyone apprised of your location and situation, there are teams available to lend support if you wind up in a fire fight. Do not hesitate to call for them.

To Captain Garry: "How did the guns get on this ship? Do you have any idea who these armed men may be? Also, can you explain the blood in the Medical Bay?

@Mod: Could you respond to my question concerning the injured crewman that met Jarkko's gun with his head? Thanks.

Sarge: Any chance of talking to these terrorists? asking them what they want? does the captain know?

OOC: Nice update Dreadnought.

OOC: That was the question I wanted to ask... again thanks thomas. :p

"Captain Garry, is the radio operational? Can I speak into the ship's intercom?"

@Doc McCoy: The captain appears to not really know what is going on with his ship. It is likely he has no idea who really is in charge or if there is really any way of contacting them. I will attempt to do what I can as soon as Birch works his magic and gets the system operating again, if he even can.

How is the crew member that ran into the stock of Jarkko's gun? Is anything broken? Does he need attending to?

As far as you can tell, he just seems knocked out. Then again, you don't quite have a medical degree, but your combat experience tells you that he's not seriously injured.

(Sorry, didn't notice that question).

"How did the guns get on this ship? Do you have any idea who these armed men may be? Also, can you explain the blood in the Medical Bay?

"I don't know how the men got there. One day, there they were, shooting their weapons and causing chaos. They want money, that's why the ship isn't moving.

As for the blood, well, they haven't been fiscal with their use of bullets. They are dangerous men."

"Captain Garry, is the radio operational? Can I speak into the ship's intercom?"

"The ship's intercom works, yes."

OOC: Nice update Dreadnought.

Thanks!

"Thomas can you give us a little time to get to a better position before you parlay with the enemy?"
OOC: Can't remember if every team has a radio but I'll assume we do.

If the ships radio works, why can't we speak to engineering? (and, do we want to, actually? do we want to let the hostiles know about us?)

To Team: Sarge here. I have confirmation the ship's intercom works, should we attempt to raise these armed terrorists or would you prefer silence? Personally I am more towards silence as it gives us the element of surprise, as far as we are aware, they do not even know we are here. The captain has kindly informed me that the terrorists control the engine room, which explains why we cannot get the ship moving.

However, we might be able to negotiate with them, ask them what they want, why they did this.

"I will reiterate that I think silence would be best until our respective units are in a strategic position to deal with the hostiles if negotitions don't go well."

I do agree that Silence until all our cards are in position is best. However, I do not advocate blindly rushing in there without at least speaking to them.

I will wait until the other teams report in before I make my decision. Good job guys, the mission appears to be going well so far. :goodjob:

Also Great update Dreadnought. :goodjob:
