@Captain Garry:
"I am sure this may sound like a ridiculous question, but were there small children with their families on the cruise? We have reports of a small girl running around down there."
"Also, is there any way we can shut down power to certain sections of the ship from the Bridge or other areas of the ship?"
Captain Garry paused. "A young girl?"
He nodded before continuing. "Yes. Yes. There were quite a few families with children. Ranging through all ages. I'd say there's about a hundred fifty or two hundred kids on board, though there aren't many more than that.
As for the power, here on the bridge you can only control extraneous lighting. Internal power, per deck, is controlled in Engineering."
@Mod: I'd like to inspect the bloodstain with all of my combat and medical expertise, see if the captain's story matches up with the physical evidence. (The picture looked much bloodier and "splatterier" than just bullet wounds.)
@Captain Gerry: Is there anywhere on the ship with any more medical equipment?
You examine the blood stains in the room.
[Experience + Knowledge: Combat + Knowledge: Global + Medical = Success]
You notice two different patterns of blood stains in the room. Near the bed, the blood is "pooled," while along the walls and near the corners you notice the blood was "sprayed."
You also estimate the blood is a few days old. Beyond that, you don't have the capabilities to discern much else -- the blood is too old.

Captain Garry: "You might find some odds and ends lying about, but the infirmary is where the medical equipment would be stored."
@Mod: I will first check what systems are accessible and intact on the bridge before I start messing with any systems.
@Captain Garry: "I'd also like to know where the elvator controls are. It is of vital importance that the elvators are secure and can only be used when we want them to."
You have a difficult time entering into the ship's mainframe. You can certainly do it, but it's going to take more time to fully bypass the various security systems they have in place.

Captain Garry: "Well, there's a maintenance station located on Decks 12, 6, and engineering level, but you need a key to get into them. Besides, if they shut off power from Engineering, you can't do much at those maintenance stations."
@Captain Gerry: What kind of "terrorists" were capable of herding 2000 passengers on this ship to the lower decks without any sign of struggle?
And does 2000 passengers even fit inside that tiny little space down there?
"They have guns! They're professionals. Don't ask me. I wasn't paid to do this kind of work. Besides, I'm not sure how many hostages they have taken. They could only have a few hostages, or they could have many. I don't know."
