Dragonia - New Fantasy Mod

Well, I`ve learned one thing - testing something (especially an alpha version!) in what you weren`t directly envolved during creation becomes a responsibility.. Gaming should not be a responsibility ;)

I hope you get more testers for the beta, its much easier than alpha-testing :) Actually, that depends how much you fixed and updated in the Beta :hmm:

Now I can see the first, but not the second :crazyeye:

Its still fun to alpha test...and you get to put your two cents in even though you aren't directly involved during creation. I just completed my first full game of Dragonia (36 hours of play), in which I caught some more bugs and fixed them.

Since the alpha, I've added more units, added the new goblin leaderheads, changed up some labels, added more civilopedia text, made some new interface graphics, worked on the improvements/wonders, made some changes from your feedback, and fixed some bugs.
 
Just to show that the project is still alive and kicking (I took a break to work on a DirectX proof of concept for SSS), here are some screenshots of the new worldsetup and playersetup that I have just completed:

Next I have to finish my buildings.pcx file, and then finishe some civopedia entries. Then I release my first version to the public!

OK...I have decided to release the mod in beta. While beta is in progress, I will complete some more UI changes, finish the buildings.pcx, add more civopedia entries, fix bugs found in beta, and maybe add a couple more things.

Stay tuned...

So you want the Defensive track to be Hoplite (civ3 vanilla unit), Auxiliria, Hastati (aka Roman Pike), and Buccellarii
And the Offensive track to be Furn Champion (Achilles unit), Principes, Legionary, and Heavy Legionary.

I have thought about it...and have decided I will change it as so:
Defense: Hoplite, Hastati, Auxiliria, Buccellarii
Offense: Principes, Legionary, Champion, Hvy Legionary

I am basing my choice based on my understanding of this site
Comments? Suggestions?
 
i think the champion should be first on the offensive line because its more greek and more ancient looking
