Yes and no. They work basically the same but have a 5 tiles influence range instead of 2. They also get "wounded" and displaced to a nearby city instead of killed.
Even Stonewall Jackson?

Are you allowed to tell the unique abilities of Union and Confederates?![]()
Accurate, though. As much as I hate to admit it, the rebs had troops that knew how to fight.Confederates have "Rebel yell". All units have a +10% automatic combat strength promotion. Pretty banal.
This scenario just sounds so bad. It's like an RTS simulation; a simulation of a simulation.
It's actually a lot more fun than I expected. It doesn't rely as much on building and researching, so it's much harder to get a big lead over the enemy, which means it relies a lot more on not wasting your limited resources and outmaneuvering the enemy.
I found it a really nice diversion, and I really don't care much for RTS games![]()
It's more akin to the classic turn-based hex wargames like Panzer General and similar.
I know but I can't tellWe've been very explicitly forbidden to utter a word about it... And yes, Arioch is right. They didn't allow us to post any screenies besides the provided ones (thing that made me very sad, as I love to go wild with screenshots).

We had that happen with another reporter in the lead-up to Vanilla back in 2010 - several hundred screenshots including stuff that didn't make the final cut, for which he was severely reprimanded IIRC. Wise move to stay on the right side of 2K

Oh yeah, I can definitely see the reasons why they'd embargo screenshots. In a perfect world it'd be enough to just tell people "don't show the following elements", but we ain't in a perfect world and quite a lot of journos aren't exactly too careful on the details.
@TheKingOfBigOz: mah lipz are sealed![]()
@Abriel, You can't say what the last two civs are, but you will surely do another article about them. Can you say when that article will be published/uploaded to the web?
Yeah, there was an incident in the lead-up to G&K (which may actually be what Pouakai is thinking of), the upshot being that I don't believe we've seen a BNW preview from that source.
I didn't realise there was one with G&K too - there was one before Vanilla with Azazell, which had stuff like Mt. Everest and lots of unannounced details. I remember making a thread (back when I was new to the forums) protesting 2K's censorship of him.
Were those the Theodora pics that were leaked a few days early? Was it CFC staff who leaked it? That would explain why the mods here went totally mental... trying to cover their own asses.I remember that! The G&K slip was a couple preview vids that were released early "just for CFC" iirc. I remember being bummed because I was out of town with just my phone and couldn't DL them!
